Can someone tell me...why are they cancelling the best show on TV? I know ratings are down from what it once was BUT...they are down all across the board from 14-15 years ago.

It was great seeing Edwards...and a tearjerker...and I can see now that Angela Bassett is a friggin powerhouse. I have never seen such a tough subject...maybe the toughest subject of them all...handled so realistically. BRAVO ER (sniff sniff)

That was truly a great episode. Wish we had more Mark, but otherwise top notch.

Easty, I think the producers were ready to move on, but there has been some scuttlebutt with the increased ratings this year that they'll not cancel it.

Angela Bassett was amazing! So was her real life hubby (forgot his name) and I'm really loving Morris now. Even Sam isn't so annoying when she's with Tony. Even this group of interns...especially the surgical one...are doing a great job.

A few bad casting/character years really cost this show it's audience....but it's still one of the best ratings show NBC has.

My niece was at my House on Thurs. night and threw a dvd in and interupted my E.R.taping. I was just going to try and catch this epi on rerun....but I may have to go to hulu and finish it. Sounds like another E.R. tear jerker.

I think Dr. Mark has such a soft spoken voice. I didn't realize how much I missed him. I love the fact that Anthony gave his E.R. check to charity. What a good person on tv and in real life.

It is crazy how much I disliked Morris's character in past years, but in the last few years, they have (without my noticing) made me respect and love his character. This show IS ending too soon.

Thank God for this epi., cuz I really hated Banfield. Love her now!!

I didn't hate her because I had some inkling of a reason for that icy spine of hers and we did see rare glimpses of humanity from her.

I'm guessing she had to make herself so rigid and...well mean in order to keep people away so she wouldn't get hurt again. Like Randy on Survivor.

I'm right there with you on Morris. Did anyone else want Ray to stay forever, too?

The guy from Law & Order Special Victims Unit is her real life hubby? He's dreamy.

I did kinda hate her character in the beginning. I knew as well, that something in life made her tough, but she was such a biatch. When she had her breakdown at the end of the show, I was moved.

I do miss Pratt and Abby. I have a feeling that the season finale will be the biggest tear jerker of all!! Do ya think George will come back for a show? He should.

And yes, I watched online at hulu. How did I live before hulu?

I was hoping that they were going to be able to evolve Angela Bassett's character because I didnt' like her much either...I figured that there was a reason she behaved as she did...I was impressed so much by the writing and her acting...and her husband was great as well.

I kinda do think George will come back. But they might not let the cat out of the bag.

I read over the weekend that Julianna Marguieles (however it is spelled) said she is NOT coming back....she feels like her character got the perfect ending by having Doug come back for Carol (& whisk her off into the sunset)...no definitive word on George Clooney...

this was another amazing episode...so well acted. If they do honor their plan to have this be the last season, at least it will go out on a totally high note...

I saw Anthony Edwards on Rachael Ray's show the same after noon his episode aired and she asked about George. He said that from what he heard George was thinking about it.

I really liked that episode and it was nice to see some of the other people who were around back then in the shots too. It really helped to make it feel like you were watching something that was happening and not just a flash back.
