In the last Chapter's finale, Peter had to inject himself with the final syringe of Sureah's formula to keep it from blowing up the building they were all in. It gave him his power back, but it doesn't work in the same way. ie. plot device so Peter's not all powerful anymore.

But what if Peter touches Sylar and gains the ability to absorb any power?

That's not really Sylar's power. He figures out how powers work.

I'm not so sure about that. Foster daddy Petrelli taught him to absorb powers without killing the last season or so. Sylar hasn't done that since but it doesn't mean he can't do it.

I think the extra special restriction on Peter is that he has to TOUCH the person to get the power.

I was just throwing that out there. If Sylar is still all powerful Peter must somehow regain all powerful to fight Sylar. If, indeed, that is where the story is going. I don't know. Just thinking out loud. The writers might have all the Heroes with their individual powers beat Sylar's omnipower. That is; if Sylar is truly the uber bad guy.

Trying to figure this show out can make my head hurt.

Now I never said Sylar had to kill, just that he figured out how powers work.

Peter could, conceivably, touch Sylar and either A.) gain all the powers Sylar has or B.) absorb Sylar's ability to figure out how powers work and use it to gain powers.

I'm not so sure the show is going in the direction of a Sylar/Peter showdown now. We seem to have everyone against the Hunter and Nathan and then a whole other show about Sylar and his quest to find his past. There's been no connection between the two other than the occasional attempt to capture Sylar by Nathan's goons.

We've already seen Peter with Sylar's powers and it was not good. Perhaps even if he could, he knows better than to try again.

Now, Vogs, surly you're not saying that's a plot already used on Heroes are you?

Didn't Peter say in the episode before last that he can only hold on to one power at a time now? So who ever the last person he touches is/was that's the power he has till he touches someone else.

So with that thinking, even if he touched Sylar, there is no saying he'd end up with Sylar's original power. Maybe he would end up with what ever power Sylar last used?

Good point, Amay...and yes, he can only hold onto one power at a time. Perhaps his power will evolve to the point where he can hang onto more, or something will happen to make his powers change.

Some how I think they've got to make him at least potentially as powerful as Sylar for balance.

I have to say I am liking this season better than last. I gave up after about three episodes last season but this one is more interesting to me. Of course part of the lure may be I have a mystery to puzzle out on how they Lost their powers and now what happens to them with the world against them. I did love Peter/Nathan's mom last night in her scene in the restaurant eating oysters and just being so smug.

So Rebel can live in all computer systems? Interesting idea.

Now Nathan and Claire are together. Nice touch. its interesting to see how this progresses.

Holy Moly! What if its the kid in the system!! Nikki's Micah. I know a long shot, but he probably has that ability.

Nathan may be back with Claire, but I don't think his jerkness will be going away any time soon. Claire definitely should be giving him hell over it too.

Did someone say that? I admit, I only half paid attention last night...other than the Angela scene and the comic book store scene with Claire. The last 3 weeks have been awful, imo. The first time I've been totally turned off, not invested in any of it.

Cool seeing Peter rescuing his mom. Looks like we will see the Petrelli family united.

I am liking this season better. Very nice sad touch with Matt in Daphne's mind and making her last moments of life to be wonderful.

Since the baby has power I am thinking he must be Matts. When his ex left wasn't she pregnant and lies and said the baby was someone else's?

Very upset that Daphne died, and I guess they are setting things up for Matt to eventually get back with his ex-wife. Loved the whole baby Matt, Hiro, and Ando exchange. Some really funny lines there.

The whole Sylar wants to be the only one with power is so first season. Can we really just get past that!! Its annoying me greatly. Love the actor, but they are going to have me hating the Sylar character again. And not in a good love/hate relationship.

Me too! It's time for her to stay dead, she has no purpose anymore. This show has got to cut some of it's bloated cast if it hopes to survive.

I just want to know, who else said "Listen to his voice!!" the second Micah yelled Taxi? Hehe that was very cool the way they brought him back in. He's grown up so much in a year.

I didn't like the way they left a show with Sylar standing inside the guys apartment, then you don't see him again the whole next show. And I thought Claire helped puppet master get away? So how did he get caught again?
