NOOOOOOO

Never fall below the yellow line on purpose. Oh that is such a bad idea. Plus it the holder of the ticket falls below it sounds like no power. OHHHHHH the foreshadowing.

O boy the trainers are not happy

More foreshadowing.....heh heh heh

These people are getting seriously messed up.

I don't think I would have eaten any of the temptations. Better to remain safe by losing the weight than run the risk of the extra calories putting you below the yellow line.

It seems that the contestants have gotten more involved in game playing this time. Or the show's editing is focusing more on The Game playing instead of showing everyone being nice and harmonious, all trying to lose weight.

I wonder if Tara was telling the truth about not trying to fall below the yellow line. She said that at first they thought about it, but she ultimately decided not to. I really wonder. But it would be really sad if she did, in fact, just have a bad week and no one, especially Jillian, doesn't believe her. I would hate that.

I'm not too upset about who went home. The cousins and Helen are the ones I like the least. For the first time in watching BL, I can honestly say that there is no contestant I "dislike". There are merely those I like the "least". But, Helen is who I like the least.

Every family couple I have seen, if they think it may be between the two of them, the parent says they will go home for the child and the child says they will go home for the parent. Except in Helen and her daughter's case. Perhaps I missed it, but what I saw was the daughter being willing to go home and do it on her own, while the mother was like, "Yes. Yes. You can do it at home. I want to STAY!!" And Helen encouraged them all to send her daughter home. I have really liked Helen otherwise. But that one thing has clouded me with her. As I said, I don't hate any contestant, but I like her the least. I hope she goes next.

I like Ron, Mike, and Kristen the best. Ron can be obnoxious, but for some reason, I forgive him his faults. I don't know why I do him moreso than others, but I just do.

The one thing I can say, is that no matter how much I dislike a contestant, I never, EVER want to see any of them not continue to lose, ...or worse, ...to gain after going home. Not even Vicky. LOL!!! I've yo-yo'd with my personal weight loss. I know what it is to have a substantial weight loss and gain it all back, plus some. ... its devastating. frown

It was weird to see them push a video, huh? I haven't even seen that movie. Has anyone else?
I wondered about the popcorn too. They recommended how to have it right. But can you get it with no oil or butter in a theater?

I have this soft spot for Ron too. I think it was because in the beginning when Mike did so badly, Ron pleaded with the rest of the contestants to not send his son home. Mike really has done well in the House and its nice to see the bond.

You are right about Helen, she let her daughter go home, in fact wanted her to go. Helen is so desperate to stay in the House I wonder if she will be able to maintain the weight loss on her own. She sounds very much like a dependent personality. Will it ever be time for her to go? Even after the show ends?

I really was surprised that the amount of calories they ate did not affect them more than what was seen.

And yeah for Laura, that girl has such a drive. I keep remembering when she won that race pulling a car that the rest of the contestants had loaded up with extra weight. She beat everyone across that finish line. She's really very competitive.

Kristin is cool. Good thinking on her part that the best way to not go home was to not eat.

For all his problems, Ron has Lost a lot of weight. He's never put up spectacular numbers but his "small" amounts pile up. I laughed when Mike told his father to "shut up" when Ron was saying about how he liked losing the 9(?) pounds but disliked that it was more than his son and that his son might be below the yellow line.

Ron and Mike's relationship is so endearing and so funny, warm, and wonderful. Heck. LOL. I wish they were part of MY family. smile Those two would do Anything for eachother.

If one of them doesn't win the main title, I hope one of them wins the "at home" title.

At the very least, I hope they are both slim and "HOT" at the finale. smile

I did this on a whim. Total weight Lost so far. In order of weigh in.

Ron: 430 - 308 = 122
Mike: 388 - 248 = 140
Tara: 294 - 186 = 108
Kristen: 360 - 245 = 115
Helen: 257 - 169 = 88
Filipe: 364 - 252 = 112
Sione: 372 - 256 = 116
Laura: 285 - 205 = 80

Some of those numbers are surprising. Kristen is still a big girl but has Lost some of the most weight.

Wish my 20 + year old calculator was still readable, I'd like to do the percents on the weight loss. Tara looks like she has one of the higher percents as just eyeballing it, it seems close to 30% of her beginning weight has been Lost. Kristen is also close to losing 1/3 of her beginning weight. This is so fantastic to do this in such a short time but to remind all, this is all these people do. Focus on their eating, learning about calories, management of weight and exercising. Its much different to live in an environment where you cannot focus strictly on your weight.

Ron 308/430 = .716 (.72) therefore 1 - .72 = .28 = 28%
Mike 248/388 = .639 (.64) 36%
Tara 186/294 = .632 (.63) 37%
Kristen 245/360 = .681 (.68) 32%
Helen 169/257 = .658 (.66) 34%
Filipe 252/364 = .692 (.69) 31%
Sione 256/372 = .688 (.69) 31%
Laura 205/285 = .719 (.72) 28%

Shoulda set up an excel spreadsheet. Tara is the most at 37% with Mike a very close second with 36%.

Good Heavens, the lowest percent is 28%!!!!! In how many weeks--about three months total? That is fantastic and yet these people are sweating it because they feel they are not losing enough weight. I wonder if this show is setting up unrealistic expectations among viewers who may be motivated to lose weight but give up when they don't see the figures that the Biggest Loser contestants drop. Two to three pounds a week is actually considered very good for long term weight loss. These guys weep when that is all they get.
