it started Saturday night with twelve new contestants. First test was to groom St. Bernards but you had to go through the neighborhood and find your tools. Then teams of three went to work on French Poodles. They were to do Artistic cuts. sheesh! Only thing worse than a French Poodle is a French Poodle dyed and its fur cut into shapes no dog should have to wear.

Its going to be interesting again this year--in a rather car crash way, you don't want to watch but the "shear" awfulness of it just lures you in. biglaugh

Hehehe Phoenix, I So get what you mean. Though I did think the red team did a great job with the St. Bernard they had. The woman who says she's got 30+ years of experience was very smart. I didn't like the guy last season who had all the experience. He was just arrogant and full of himself. This woman doesn't seem to bad, but of course that was just the first show so who knows.

Chicken guy was TO funny!

This week, pleasing difficult owners. The opera singer could not have been real...really! Poor dogs being subjected to some of those owners. I thought the color on the tail would actually attract attention from females but the owner didn't approve and that was not a good move.

I am really getting annoyed by Linsey???? The one who has escaped elimination now several times and who did the singing to the dog. She really comes across as immature, annoying and she dresses badly. her body type does not support those tight cropped pants. She's a bit large, which is not the problem but her choice of tight mid calf pants only emphasizes her large hips and makes her look like an apple on toothpicks. She not bad looking but really needs to re assess her fashion statement.

I'm not sure who I favor for the winner. I was disappointed last season although he was a nice man, I didn't think his overall performance rated him winning.

So far I like the lady with 30+ years of experience and a couple of the guys. The blond with the stripe in her hair seems good but no clear favorites yet.

Yippee! Annoying bad dresser loud female gone! This week its a doggie wedding and I am appalled! I am actually wondering if Nemo should be rescued from his owner on grounds of animal cruelty--those outfits the poor thing has to wear. He just looks timid and afraid all the time.

I am still liking Lisa and had a soft spot for Hubert although girl with pink stripe is coming on strong.

I'm seeing a lot of commercials for Hollywood groomer starting Artist from last season but I wasn't that fond of him as the strongest competitor. Plus he has a tiny little dog too. Doesn't anyone have a mutt or at least a mid size dog???? sigh...

Still I'm almost alone in watching this. Older dogs this week and I felt bad for them. A couple just looked so fragile and the ones that were snapping really did need to be muzzled. Oh and the quick sniff challenge using yarn dogs and the children was actually quite good. I didn't think it rated a "free from elimination" prize though. I really can't stand Janice Dickinson(I think that's her name) She looks like she is under the influence and is mean just to be mean. Not a dog grooming judge.

Janice has a history of drug abuse and has seemingly turned herself around. Unfortunately, her years of abuse will still show on her face and body. However, its true that she is merely a dog lover, and that does NOT qualify her to sit and judge a "grooming" competition. I like her alright, but she has always been a diva. LOL.

I never have had much patience for "divas". If she has managed to kick the drug habit, then bravo for her. so many who become addicted never get free.0

I really liked the yarn dog challenge. I was surprised the prize was immunity. I have been pretty happy with the people they kicked off so far. I like all 3 of the "power" groomers, so I'd be happy to see any of them win. Don't think the others are as good and will probably go over the next few weeks.

I wanted to record Artist's show but forgot. So I've got it set for next week. Not sure it will be any good, but I usually like to give most new shows a try or two before I decide for sure.

Nice to see others are watching this too. smile

Oh, I'm watching too but I just don't have much to say I guess. Still don't remember all their names. Isn't the woman who is most experienced called Lisa? I think she will be one of the finalists. And yeah I could see how that one somewhat large woman would have been better liked if she just hadn't talked so much.

We've made it to four! We have a group! A group of Groomer has It watchers...I thought about groupies but decided that was probably not the best descriptive term.

Or we could be a pack. A pack of watchers watching weekly packs of dogs get clipped, shaved and otherwise made to look ridiculous for the cameras.

I'm starting a SAVE NEMO! campaign! That dog looks so timid plus he's barely big enough to warrant a glance from a hungry cat.

SAVE NEMO!
SAVE NEMO!
SAVE NEMO!

that poor dog must be saved from fashion cruelty. Not even a munchkin like Nemo deserves to be dressed up each week like a play doll.

But I did enjoy the pigs tonight. heh heh heh I was rather rooting for them to take down a few groomers.

Oh and the girl with the pink striped hair has got to go. Every week its a new version of the same song--she got the worst dog or too little time or something that just wasn't her fault.

Now Hubert is cool. he just took the fifteen minute penalty as a tribute to being competition and still he excelled.

Ok, so got to see last nights show this afternoon. The pig part was funny, though I thought Hubert should have won and not Lisa.

I also wish the blond would have gone home and not Marco. I mean Marco isn't great, but the blond is just annoying! I will not understand if they keep her next week.

Me too. I also like the older guy and the dark haired girl. She is very good.

I want to join the pack.

SAVE NEMO!!! I agree I felt so bad for him with those stupid boots on. You could see how uncomfortable he was. I am also surprised. Last season didn't the judges say something about how dangerous it can be to dress up a dog. (it could have been American Dog)

Trixie, the comment about dressing up a dog was on "American Dog." But I think about that every time I see Nemo come on screen.

Did anyone else see the ending to this weeks show coming? (Not saying what happened in case someone reading hasn't watched yet.) But it was a surprise to me. The part with the ASPCA was sad and sweet. I only wish there were more updates on all of them, and not just 2. (I did see you can go online to find out more)

I got annoyed at Bill when Huber was enjoying his prize. You just knew it was because he's jealous.

Yes I did see the ending and was so glad that was the decision. I would have been unhappy with any decision made there. Now we can have a great final...well, there is that girl with the pink hair....

Yeah, I really hope she goes this week. Then the dark haired one after her. That will leave the 3 who I think were best all season. Though I think Lisa is probably going to win at this point, I'd like to see Huber with her in the final 2.

I have a bad feeling pink streak might stick around another week. In the previews she was prominent and in trouble, I hope it means she is going.

Well last night was a surprise. I won't mention names but I really thought the one who went home would be in the final three. Now its definitely Lisa's to lose. Oh and grooming cats???? The cats I have had were not fans of loud noises and definitely hated bathing! Did anyone else think that "lion" cut looked absolutely atrocious on the little dog?

I've felt like it was Lisa's to lose since probably week 2, well maybe 3. But at no time did I ever not see her in the finals. As for who went home, no, I saw it coming. It wasn't the first time that person made a mistake and when you are down to 4, it doesn't take much to give you the boot.

As for that little dog...boy was that dumb. They had to do cats a lot sooner in season one, so I was wondering if and when it was going to finally come up. I actually was a little worried for Lisa when she cut that cats nail. Like Joey said, people have been sent home for less.

I do agree the person who went home has made some mistakes but overall I still thought he had a chance. Last season's winner made mistakes throughout the competition but did win it based mostly, I believe, on his vast improvement over the course of the competition.

I see next week with young female third, last remaining man second and Lisa first. I could see a switch with first and second but still am rooting more for Lisa. I won't be unhappy if the gentleman wins it as he too has been consistent and a nice competitor. We have not had a lot of drama in the past few episodes. With the departure of pink hair, things have been quiet.

Final Two!!!! Only going to say, Lisa is one of them! those last dogs were rough-Bechan Frese? I can't spell it and don't have the patience to look it. Small dogs with lots of white hair. Now the final two go head to head. wonder what they will have to groom next week? idea Lets set them up at a dog show and let them do multiple dogs, taking all comers! Oh well after the supposedly toughest dog this week, I am wondering what is next for them to do.

This weeks was pretty good. I kept waiting, just waiting for them to have something negative to say to Lisa. Then when they didn't, I couldn't imagine a reason they would have sent her home.

I'm hoping for her to win, but I really will be happy with either.

Great that Hubert won but I really wanted Lisa to win. She really has the experience in all arenas from pets to champion show dogs. A real professional. I wish the best for her and hope that this 2nd season of Groomer Has It helps her further her career. I hope she will write for grooming magazines, do TV commercials on Animal planet and even help host dog championship shows on TV. Congratulations to Hubert on the win. But best wishes to Lisa for continued success.

I cannot believe Lisa Lost Groomer Has It.. She won pretty near every challenge. She is obviously the best groomer. I guess you have to be a gay looking guy to win on that show. I'm very disappointed. The best groomer does not win on that show .. Thats for sure.

I wish she could have got the nails done on the Irish Terrier.. she would have won it.. The nails did her in.. But the dog was biting at her.. It takes more than one to do the nails on a dog trying to take a bite out of your hand..She should have won anyway.. She knows her stuff, more than any one of those people on there..

lisa should have one she is the best groomer. she has more experience as a judge than thier judges combined. at least huber is better than the clown who won last year. i guess it why it is tv and not the grooming circle.

I really was hoping for Lisa to win but I am happy also with Hubert. The nails did cost her the prize I believe. The judges judged without knowing who did each dog and I think that the reason for not doing the nails was not considered in the final judging. Lisa kept saying this was her swan song, the end of her career so I don't know what she would have done with the mobile van if she planned on retiring. Hubert seemed to have many more years left that he wanted to continue to groom.

Lisa was the most talented but I got a weird feeling when they talked about having "heart" and she didn't get the nails done that he would get it. I am so disappointed in both seasons. He did have a heart with the dog at the shelter, whereas she is matter of fact and much better groomer. They give it to someone with passion regardless of who is the better groomer. So disappointed. Reminds me of American Idol which I stopped watching years ago.

Lisa also just Lost over 100 pounds. That in itself will make a person look much older. So no, I believe she's only in her 40's.

Sorry she didn't win, but I had a feeling watching the whole episode that they would give it to Hubert. I'm ok with him winning, though the nails on the dog is a dumb thing for her to go down because of. I know she didn't want to stress out the dog, but she should have just muzzled him and did what she needed to do.

I also took what she was saying as she was not going to do anything else in a competition type style. But not retiring from grooming all together.

Yes they did mention she had Lost a lot of weight. Kudos to her! To lose 100 pounds is quite a success story. Hubert is a nice guy and I still am satisfied with his win.

A dissapointment. I thought Lisa was better, she had so much experience with dogs throughout her life (42 with 33 years experience.. = she was 9 when she started)

I would trust her to groom my three dogs - a purebred show bichon (26lbs), a toy/miniature cross poodle (9lbs), and a shelter dog who is primarily a bichon/poodle (12lbs)
