What a cliffhanger are they both dead are they both coming back? Though T.J not coming back that doesn't mean George can't since if he survives the surgery Sloan will have to make him a new face George could still be saved. I hope Katherine comes back she is a intergal part of the success of that show.

I agree, great cliffhanger, but I don't think George will be coming back, from I gather, since he was on the other side of the doors of the elevator, I would say RIP...good job and great actor.

I was blown away by the bus guy being George. I bawled like a baby. I think the finale was one of the best I've seen in a long time. I am probably reading WAAAAY too much into the elevator scene...but the door opening....George on the outside...Izzy on the inside...neither stepping in or out was great writing.

I felt like "I" was hit by a bus when Meredith figured out it was George.

I know that Shondra says she always writes the season finale first, and then backs into each episode....so all I can say is...W O W !!! Awesome backing!

By far one of the best endings I've ever seen!

As soon as they were looking for George and the chief said he didn't scrub in, I just knew bus guy was George. I think I even gasped a little and said OMG the guy that got hit is George.
My stomach dropped when Meredith figured it out. What an awesome way for that to happen too! I mean who thinks like that?

I don't know whats going to happen, but love how it all has us feeling like we must have more.

I loved the finale, but I feel a little cheated. Not by the show but by a person here who spoiled it. Our power had gone out at 927pm because of a nasty storm, so I had to wait till someone put the show online. Someone in another section mentioned the John Doe fake out being like what ER did several years ago and as soon as I saw him I knew it was George. I wanted to believe otherwise...even thought it was Sloane till Sloane walked in. The spoilers about George dying in Iraq were out there for weeks, so I don't know if I'd have gotten the same emotional punch everyone else did or not had I not read that one little thing.

I'd absolutely love it if Shonda is able to keep the premiere and who dies...if either die...a total secret. I doubt it'll happen, but it would be fantastic.

When does the next season start? This show just gets better with each passing week.

Grey's Anatomy really came through as far as cliff hangers are concerned...I was intrigued by the way Shonda Rimes solved the Izzy and George factor...you notice Izzy did not walk over the threshold of the elevator so I am not so sure she is truly gone...Not sure when the new shows start...

I feel cheated that they dragged us along for the last several weeks waiting to find out Izzy's fate, and then left it as a cliffhanger. Otherwise, it was a great finale.

I was reading an old People magazine in the doctors office today and there was a little clip about Greys. The quote was from Shondra saying that TK and Kathrine were not leaving the show, and the rumor was taken out of context by the person who said it.
(I can't remember who it was that said the "rumor" to start with.)

That was back in a February issue so I guess it's possible things have changed since then and one or both are leaving. But I've got my fingers crossed it's neither.

Yeah he would need a new face, but his arm is mangled and he won't be able to perform surgery anymore. Best to let the part die. We have yet to see a major character (as in the permanent cast members, not multiple appearance guests stars like Denny or Meredith's Mom Ellis Grey) die on the show. I'm not a death monger, but didn't anyone find Meredith's survival after drowning and not breathing or having a heartbeat after (how long?) a little hard to swallow? Let's get a little more real! I mean hey, this show ain't like L O S T !!! :groucho:
