Just curious - how often has DialIdol been accurate?

What website is that, KE? I told you I've been removed from the AI scene. Springlady, it looks like the last few weeks it has been accurate, and they still tout a 97% accuracy rate.

DialIdol has correctly picked the winner every year BUT this year it's too close to call for the first time in 8 seasons.

Well, I finally got to watch an ep. of American Idol this season... and... not sure why exactly, but I want Kris to win! I could see myself listening to his music more-so than Adam's.

So GO KRIS!!!

There is no way that Dial Idol has been 97% accurate this season.

Plus... just take a look at Dancing With the Stars. They have the winner in third place in their tally.

And... as Brent said.... the end "Dial Idol" result is a statistical tie with these numbers. Neither is anywhere near a clear winner. Yet.

Actually, the 97% rate is across all seasons. Dialidol is NOT accurate for DWTS either because of the web voting.

All in all, I think it will be very close and the winner is a toss up but I think I prefer Adam. blush

I think they got exactly what they wanted for the finale. I am personally grateful that it wasn't (isn't) a forgone conclusion. It's no fun if you don't have a doubt who is going to win.

I love the statistical tie. Both are worthy of a career. Both shall have one.

I really hope that Adam succeeds in the win because personally I see him as one of the most talented that the show has ever seen.

PLUS... I will not soon forget the people who were talking about him (in other languages no less) while I was in Amsterdam, Munich, Paris and Madrid in March. This spoke volumes to me.

Both artists remain true to the type of singer and person they really are. Adam just is so much more of a presence for me.

I think they wanted Danny/Adam, but I don't think they can be too upset with the way it has played out.

To me -- a win at this point is only sort of significant. I mean, if it were me, of course I would want the crown. But -- if Adam has the fan base people say he has, then it won't go away even if he comes in second. If Kris comes in second, he'll still get a record deal and it will be good or not. If it's good . . .

Last year I was really nervous that David A. was going to win (I can't really say why other than I didn't like him) -- this year either way is ok by me.

I do disagree with E.D. that Kris is an Up With People type -- Danny yes, but I think Kris is more nuanced than that.

And, finally, did I mention how awful Kara's song was?
