Final Night, Final Songs, Final Ranks

I guess it might be a little odd to rank on the final night, since most people will be tempted to just rank their guy the highest -- but it is what it is.
So, anyway -- after the show -- rank the songs, rank the singers, rank the judges, rank the season, rank the rankings, rank the forum, rank the emoticons -- rank anything your little heart desires.

Adam~'Mad World'~~~Fantastic! Kris~'Ain't No Sunshine'~~~Fantastic! Adam~'Change is Gonna Come'~~~Didn't like it... Kris~'What's Goin' On'~~~Good but not fantastic... Adam~'No Boundaries'~~~  Kris~'No Boundaries'~~~ Too close to call~~~I'd like Kris to win, but will be happy for Adam if he wins~~~either way as many have said, both will go on to have successful careers & we got go along for some of that ride...

I think they got exactly what they wanted for the finale. I am personally grateful that it wasn't (isn't) a forgone conclusion. It's no fun if you don't have a doubt who is going to win.
I love the statistical tie. Both are worthy of a career. Both shall have one.
I really hope that Adam succeeds in the win because personally I see him as one of the most talented that the show has ever seen.
PLUS... I will not soon forget the people who were talking about him (in other languages no less) while I was in Amsterdam, Munich, Paris and Madrid in March. This spoke volumes to me.
Both artists remain true to the type of singer and person they really are. Adam just is so much more of a presence for me.
I think they wanted Danny/Adam, but I don't think they can be too upset with the way it has played out. To me -- a win at this point is only sort of significant. I mean, if it were me, of course I would want the crown. But -- if Adam has the fan base people say he has, then it won't go away even if he comes in second. If Kris comes in second, he'll still get a record deal and it will be good or not. If it's good . . . Last year I was really nervous that David A. was going to win (I can't really say why other than I didn't like him) -- this year either way is ok by me. I do disagree with E.D. that Kris is an Up With People type -- Danny yes, but I think Kris is more nuanced than that. And, finally, did I mention how awful Kara's song was?

If you never heard them, just remember the AI group songs and you'll have a pretty good idea. I don't think Kris falls into that category -- but perhaps E.D. means something else by that label.

[/quote] Up with People was definitely a group, as OhMy stated. It is a foundation to my reference. Happy, peppy, clean and homespun. A style that you could picture singing "I'd like to Teach the world to Sing" and a little "Kumbaya" (perhaps with a folkier statement while strumming that guitar.) That's how I have seen him from the beginning... but naturally not to the extreme by which I've just illustrated. A bit less but in the same vein.

I am glad I watched the show now...still not over but Carlos Santana was easily my favorite performer of the night...and I loved the little bit of Black Magic Woman Matt Sang with him... I adore Cyndi Lauper and Allison so that was completely entertaining for me.. Adam and KISS was fun to watch...I was never a big KISS or Glam Rock Fan (I never disliked it...totally neutral for me) but everyone I knew was into KISS, Queen and Bowie  so I am extremely familiar with the genre...I like it better now than when I was younger but I give them a 10/10 for a great stage performance. Kris looked like he was having fun with Keith Urban...don't like country music at all so it wasn't my thing. The rest...no comment.
