Anyway, Animal Planet has continued to show King of the Jungle. This time the contestents came in pairs, however they actually compete as individuals. There have been two episodes so far.

It comes on Saturday evening 6pm and repeats at 1am (central time).

Remember on #2 where one contestent broke his hand in the pit? They have changed that so hopefully no one else will get hurt. Otherwise it is very similar to #2 (ordinary people).

its just like #2 except for the pair thing, which they broke up on the first day...kinda pointless of having pairs to begin with.

It's sort of okay, but I agree - since they broke up the pairs, only one can win king and one person still leaves; why have the pairs? I missed it last night (2/5/05), who got king, who went to the pit and who left? I forgot to Tivo it, so I ended up not knowing. LOL. I can't find any info on it at all? Could someone update me? Thanks so much.

Poor steve went home...wonder how danielle is going to handle it next week, considering she was upset when the twins left, never mind her husband.

Well, I don't know if I like this one. I enjoyed the first season the best. I worked last night, so I made sure I taped it with my TIVO. I don't understand it, but Animal Planet showed it as a 1 hour show, it turned out to be 2, so my Tivo only taped for one hour. I saw up to the guys in the cages. Missed the rest. What happened after that? I'm frustrated because it showed it would be on again at 2 a.m., but it was a completely different episode from the first season. Which one of the guys got to come back, and who did idiot David select to go to the pit and who Lost. Sorry, this is a lot, but once you start watching it, you do get addicted. LOL

Okay here we go...
First Matthew is the only one who got out of the cage...Hendley and Newt went home.
Then David (the idoit) sent Lolita and Matthew up against each other. Lolita did like the twins and let Matthew win. David was pissed becase he said that everyone doing that was taking the competition out of the show...

The whole show was 2 hours..so yeah if you missed the end it wouldn't make since. So now all thats left are
Kevin and Sherry (useless)
Danielle
Wendy
Matthew
David and Petite (idiots)

The sad thing is, one of the idiots will probably win. I sometimes think these things are rigged so as to cause more controversy. It irked me first because David separated the couples to make sure someone from one of them would go if they had to. Then Matthew, Hendley and Newt were "caged" because of the stupid poaching thing. So, now David puts Lolita and Matthew up against each other? Someone needs to take away the King position and put Petite and David up against each other. It's the only way to finally take control of the situation.

I was mad when it only taped one hour; however Tivo only tapes what the tv guide channel says. It did say only one hour, so it cut me short.

Thanks so much for the info. I don't work next Saturday, but I do have in-laws over, so I'll have to tape it again. This time I'll tape the show right after it just in case. I don't want Petite or David to win, but you know, they probably will. I didn't want Kelly to win, she did; I didn't mind Tony; but I definitely do not want David and Petite to win.

I'm wondering though, since only one person can win the king position; does that apply to the winner of the entire show? Is David thinking if he puts couples against each other and one has to leave, if the other wins, are they eliminated because they have no partner? If he and Petite are the only couple left, would they win by default? I hope not. I'm afraid since it is a pairs show, will the winner be the only couple that is left in the group? Didn't they say the competitions were individual? This makes me wonder a lot. Thanks again.

As for the earlier questions...I think that only one person can win...I don't think that David and petite will win because they are the only pair.
They better not, they are so obnoxious. I mean does David think it looks good when he takes out his front teeth?? gross
I hope someone good wins. I think it is weird how now all the games they are doing have to do with pairs, I mean why not keep the pairs from the beginning if you are going to put them back together...now poor danielle and wendy don't have a pair and are stuck together...so so stupid

Did you see this latest episode?! It was great! Could have been a lot better but pitting David and Petite against each other in the pit was the best drama yet. They got a taste of their own medicine. I can't wait to see this next coming episode!

It seems like almost everyone who tried to tape the two hour episode winded up only getting the last hour, I did as well. I don't have TiVo but I do have DVR and it did the same crap to me. Really ticked me off because you wind up missing a lot without much way of seeing it again. I am upset I missed so much like I didn't know David became king again and that the poaching happen . David would have been a better character to poach. God, I can't wait till he is off the show!!

Yeah no kidding...I saw the whole 2 hour episode. The poaching thing sucked. I mean talk about getting kicked off the show because of something random. I just have to say again I hate David!! I love that Petite is gone, I just wish it was David, because she would crumble without him !!

Right on!!! David is such an ass! He acts like he is better than everyone especially the women. I find that highly offensive. I thought it was so great that Wendy beat him for the king status and I agree with her that Petite didn't seem to be making a whole bunch of effort to win over David . David was acting all pissy because none of the people he sent to the pit would fight against each other but even though they tried to act like they competed, they did the same thing. They are both so fake. As fake as David's teeth which I agree are gross. Man, do it when the camera's are pointed away...

I really liked the first season - the whole set up really worked and you could see how things were going (a bit like idol when the singers give a poor performance). I couldn't wait until the season two and I was very disappointed with the change of format.

I saw the show Tony hosted - he was no Jeff Corwin, but it was watchable.

I liked season 1, however I wasn't so happy with the winner - but what happened to the blonde who won? Did anyone catch her show?

I think she did something involving lions... Though I couldn't say for sure. I thought I remember seeing something on TV. I never saw the show that Tony did, I didn't think he should have won, I liked the other guy more. This newer season are somewhat the same as the second season. We have David now instead of Lang. They have to have one person you can hate.

Anyone see this latest episode? The group learned about different spiders and that is what their challenge involved. They all had to get in pairs which they split up into their own groups instead of the people with their other half still left pairing up. They made Sherry pair up with David which she didn't want but had no choice. They each had a pouch with two straws and had to climb on a 'spider web' net and collect red liquid from bottles on the 'web' using on the straws, sucking up the liquid like a spider would do. They all did fairly well. Sherry collected the least amount. David actually won the challenge again even though they were all trying to work against him so they could get rid of him, most viewers can't stand him but I will certainly say he is a very tough competitor.

In the end Sherry volunteered to go to the pit which I think she only did because David and her husband made her feel like the weakest link because they made her pair with David on the challenge and David said a few off-hand comments when he found out she was his buddy. David would only agree to let her go if everyone else agreed that in the next challenge, whoever won, would not send David to the pit again. They all pretty much had no choice but to agree with him. So Sherry and her pair went to the pit together, where they supposedly 'competed'. At least she said she was going to but it was totally obvious she didn't. So now Sherry is gone and David is once again going on about how he is the King. What comes next week is anyone's guess. They all want David gone but they had to promise not to send him to the pit. Next week's episode should be interesting... You can also say with any amount of certainty that David 'Sucks'...

I work for an animal rescue we've been getting regular emails from Stephen and Danielle. Thought I'd share the latest one when I stumbled upon this site because of their posting recently. She wrote a great one about why pet therapy works after encountering a child with elephantitus at the hospital during orientation that ran up and hugged her dog and how he didn't notice her deformity and to Charlie she was just another beautiful little girl giving him a pet and licked her face. To animals we are all beautiful. I think it's posted on the site.

We still get wonderful cards and emails from all our fosters.
Charlie and I have done orientation and will start official pet therapy with Loveon4Paws at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles as well as facilities for the blind and the mentally challenged on the 10th as long as our second TB test comes out okay which I'm sure it will, we can't wait. The hospital says the kids look forward to it so much and I know Charlie will be a big hit. He knows tons of tricks and was born to cuddle and love.

I don't have a problem with Wendy, though she seems too obsessed with getting rid of David but I am on the same boat with her. I would love to see David go and it's crap that he trying to make deals to keep on the show. Kevin doesn't seem like someone who is going to win, there hasn't been much he has shown to be King material. I agree that I wouldn't mind seeing Danielle or Matthew win. I like both of them equally because they both show worthy charactistics. But I couldn't say if either one will win. We can only wait and see. It would be nice to put David and Wendy in the pit together. That would be some competition going on..

I liked this week's episode. I thought it was great that Danielle won the task and got to be King. I wish she had sent David to the pit regardless of the pact but she is good to her word. Sending Kevin and Matt to the pit was her best option but I didn't want to see Matt go. I think my choice for King would be Danielle. She is the most interested in animals out of all of them. I think David and Kevin are only in it to win the competition and not so much what is involved afterwards. I noticed in the preview for the next episode that it looks like David is going to get the King amulet once again. You had to look carefully but I am pretty sure he is wearing it. I think I will lose all respect in this show if David wins...

Yeah, you never know what will happen but if he does win this next competition I will certainly say that he will be sending Wendy to the pit. But knowing him, he is going to try to elimate all the women first. But you may also have it right that he will send Kevin. He probably doesn't see Danielle as a threat, so sending Kevin and Wendy to the pit together will eliminate at least one of them. So then he would have a clearer road to winning..

I think David will put Wendy against Kevin. Wendy will win, Kevin seems to slow...just my thought.

I wish that the twins and Henley and Thomas stayed, I liked the 4 of them the best....

I don't have too much preference there but I would have to say I like Wendy more than Kevin. I didn't think either him or Sherry would win. They just didn't seem interesting enough and ususal the characters have to have something to make you like/dislike them. I really didn't see enough of Hendley and Thomas so I agree that they should have stayed on the show longer. They seemed so funny I really couldn't understand why they both had to be elimated togehter..

I didn't think Kevin was that slow when he defeated Matt . Anyways at this point he the only one I like to see win. I like to see if David would put the 2 girls together or of he'll be smart and put the other 2 strongest(Wendy&Kevin) together.

You have a point there vector with Kevin being pretty good in the pit but Matthew wasn't slow, Kevin just got him on the first try. That was just the luck of the draw. I would have loved to see Lolita go up against any of them. She was really fast.
