So I really like this idea. I would love to try it myself. It's neat b/c you get to know a person personality as opposed to just the physical. I would say for me it would also be more comfortable.

There is a resturaunt somewhere on the west coast where they actually do this and they serve the dinner on the floor. There are big tiles in front of you and they serve the food that way. It doesn't matter if you spill. It's on the floor anyway.

Would you ever try this?

I think something even more important than appearance, is honesty, and good morals/values. Who cares what someone looks like if they are dishonest. My daughter's now ex-bf is actually one of the "contestants" on this show ... when he headed to the House for filming, he was still dating my daughter, in fact they'd just spent Valentine's Day weekend together! When he went ahead w/ the dating show and couldn't understand why it was wrong, my daughter broke up w/ him. He's not a very honest person, he says and does what he thinks people expect or want to hear, and it will be interesting to see if his true character is portrayed in the episode he's in. The big lie here is that the show is supposed to be 3 single men and 3 single women, but he was not single!

Was your daughters ex on the first episode that aired last night?

I say it's still a good project. I enjoyed it to the fullest. As fas as people coming into a dating show w/o someone.... we have seen it happen before. Most recently w/the bachelorrette.

I really did like it though. I do have to say some people will chose to see a less attractive person because of a.)feeling guilty or b.) how they will look when the show airs.

Honestly if you walk into a room and get the choice of a pretty person or an ugly person who would chose? So in all fairness, I can't lie. I feel looks do matter.

My definition of handsome is alot different than other peoples. That's how everyone can find a match.

I thought the show was a fun exercise......I thought for sure the middle couple was the only one that would hook up.....which is why I don't give dating advice.... lmfao

I didn't think he was that terrible looking....and really...does he want a girl that was willing to kiss him without knowing him......I thought they had a good connection and she went on the show because she had trouble finding the right man.......well...if you reject people based on looks than there could be a reason you can't find someone......yes.....looks are somewhat important but he was far from "ugly"...and while she was attractive she was far from "skinny"........ grin

Enjoyed the show here as well~~~I thought they were all pretty evenly matched in the looks department~~~most just average imo~~~really couldn't understand the brunette getting intimate w/the guy in the dark but wanting nothing more to do w/him in the light~~~can't remember any of their names... smile

I hope at the end they will do a follow-up on those that decided to go out into the 'light'~~~it'll be interesting so see how/if things worked out... nods

There is nothing moral about a show like this. You would not want your kinds doing this. There is no family values or anything that resembles it. Nothing! If you see it as moral then you parents failed.
