MC, why are you defending a guy obviously not well regarded by Chris Harrison, the studio audience, and many of the the Bachelor contestants? If Wes could con Jillian for a month, I'm sure he could BS his way through an interview.
The people who lived with him knew he was shadier than a maple tree. Chris saw the true Wes. These people have no reason to lie now. Wes, OTOH, needs to try to save face and make himself marketable again. I wouldn't put it past him to lie through his teeth. Well, Chris Harrison would have no motivation in taking Wes's side, since what Wes has to say doesn't reflect well on the show's production. Chris Harrison is the mouthpiece for the show and if they made Wes's character the villain, he would have to go along with that. Also, Wes could keep his mouth shut, but they've disparaged his reputation, so I think he needs to be out there defending himself, as much as he is contracturally allowed. I have no knowledge of other contestants disparaging Wes, including Jillian. Links? The studio audience?? What studio audience? He did not go to the taping of what's on tonite. Ofcourse, I'm west coast, so haven't seen it yet, BUT, it is surely within the interest of the producers to make him look bad, since that is their storyline. Was he even there to defend himself? I heard he was not asked and/or he refused to be there. Also, maybe you should listen to his interview before making conclusions. I have made no conclusions in any final way, but his interview was convincing. I also have heard many of the bachelors say, on different occasions, they all got along, or "they liked Wes." Jake liked Wes. Supposedly he is friends with Jeremy from Deanna's season. Jeremey seemed like a stand up guy.

What bothers me is the letting of the Studio Audience gang up on him while he wasn't there to defend himself. And it's not as if the Studio Audience has the real truth - they are the same ones being fed any and all of the producer's editing! I noticed a couple of the guys were defending Wes....Sasha said something about him not coming on with falling in love in mind, but it didn't mean things didn't change....Dave got shut down as soon as he mentioned he felt the girlfriend was an x-girlfriend. He tried several times to say something, but Chris Harrison deferred to Robbie (I believe) and Robbie admitted his anti-Wes agenda was because he got let go when he did.
I especially don't think much of THAT studio audience given their support for Jake being the bachelor. I've known those kind of guys - those perfect straight A students, at the best schools, no less, get up at the same time everyday, watch everything they eat so they can be 5% body fat. I've even known one that wanted to be an airline pilot, a perfect job for those types, by the way, (he became an engineer, instead), but the Bachelor is not about becoming an airline pilot, it's about not being boring and having women adore you.
And why oh why would a guy come on to promote his music career and act like such a jerk. It makes no sense.
