Anyone see the Bachelorette or at least read about it tonight? Let me give you my opinions and see if we can agree.... I have to start with the last date of the night first. So Ed surprises her with his parents. I love how his dad ask why they are even there. Duh.. dad i'm tring to win this girls heart by showing her my parents are freaks that are afraid of human interaction. I actually liked his parents. And I am still rooting for Ed after his "incident". So he couldn't get it in the mood and it was on tape and aired on national tv. It was nice of her to defend him with the whole "we were both tired and he had a sunburn" thing. At the rose ceremony though she did pull him aside and ? the physical attraction. I can kinda see it.: ) I am glad he stuck around. Reid- This kid I honestly can't blame for not being all on board. Realistically how often does it happen that you can find love that quick and know it. I know it happens but look at that ratio in comparison to people that are together longer. She kinda sounds desperate to get married and thats #1 on her agenda. There is always sugardaddy.com where she can get paid to get married if this doesn't Work Out.

Do you guys really believe Ed couldn't get "in the mood" or Wes "has a girlfriend." Both were definitely thrown under the bus by the Producer of this show. This show may have an element of reality to it, but to make it interesting, the Producer manipulates the editing in order to create conflict, protagonist, antagonists. Ofcourse, you could all just be playing along, as the audience.

I dislike the interference in a "reality" show, but I suppose that myth was busted by ms smith post season one of survivor. Ruining a man's reputation is another thing. I'll tell you one thing, wes seems like a very normal nice guy, "edgy" as he described, but definitely not the sleaze they portrayed him as.

I didn't think Wes was a nice guy from the moment he stepped out of the first limo, and I definitely don't think he's a nice guy now.
Producers can only manipulate what you give them to work with. The producers didn't make Wes say "I'm the first guy to get to the final four with a girlfriend." He provided that all by himself.
Sure, producers create certain scenarios to get a reaction, both out of the contestants and out of us. But it doesn't make the reactions any less real. And sometimes, no matter how much manipulation was involved, you really do see the person for what they actually are...which I think was the case with Wes. You should probably listen to the interview. He has excellent recall for what he actually said. In some cases context is everything - like the Reid is a retard comment, and in many cases, they actually spliced his words together, and/or they used a Jillian reaction to something he was saying, that wasn't the reaction he was getting when he was actually saying those words. He's definitely edgey, definitely a joker, but in no way malicious or mean. Not that this means anything, but he and Jake had a connection because of a Bible school/college they both attended. Jake sounds a bit looney though. Jake was told through prayer that he'd be on the show for 7 episodes, so since he was kicked off on 6, he was willing to come back and do what he did to Wes.
