Does anyone know who the guy was on NCIS who was screwing around with the dead guy's wife? I know I've seen him before and I can't figure it out. UGH!!

Here's a link to details about the episode. It also notes the guest stars. All you have to do is click on each name, and it will give you a photo as well as a resume for each of them. Let me know were you've seen him before!!!

How do I start a new thread. My opinion: NCIS spends too much time trying to make the characrters cute.

What do you mean by that???

The banter between the characters is what makes the show so great. Without it, it would just be another CSI clone.

Last night, I laughed my ass off with the comments that went back and forth between Gibbs and Tony about Sears and between Gibbs and McGee about the spinning hubcaps. I also like the sexual chemistry between Tony and Kate. They are so good together. I loved when Tony found Kate's wet t-shirt photo at the end.

Cool!!!!!! How accurate is the show? I know the agency doesn't have all of those cool forensic things, but I'm wondering more about the actual cases.

Actually my dad said it's pretty accurate. Unlike CSI, which I love, he said "that's not how it really is you know."

My brother actually went to the set in CA and met some of the actors, he's stationed out at Camp Pendleton area so was close by the filming areas.

Dad actually remembers some cases similar to what happens on the show. Pretty neat inside info....

Oh no! Someone isn't going to survive the season finale! I love all of the characters, they can't kill one off!!! I read on the Zap2it article that viewers could be very angry about who dies in next weeks finale! The dynamics of all these character/actors is so great I will hate to see one go!

Anyone have any thoughts on who it might be?

Well, because CBS is going after a younger audience, how about Duckie???? He would be the one that I would miss the least. He can be irritating at times.

Well, it can't be Gibbs, because the show does revolve around his team...and it wouldn't work if it wasn't HIS team.

If it was Tony, I think they'd have killed him off last week with the plague. I don't think they'd have him survive the plague only to die two weeks later.

I doubt it's Abby, as she never leaves the lab...unless the lab blows up, of course.

Ducky's sidekick, Mr. Palmer, would be a good choice...except that I don't think anyone would miss him enough for it to be "big."

McGee's death would kill me...I love his geekiness!

And it could be Kate, although I doubt they'd kill off the lone female agent. But that's why it would be big.

My guess: it's among Ducky, Kate or McGee. I just hope it's not McGee!!!

I enjoy NCIS I like the characters and their banter and I don't think there is any way you could make Gibb's character "cute" This is the only TV show I watch that has nothing to do with SCI-FI or wrestling.

See! That's my problem, I like all of them. I am however very attached to Gibbs and Tony, I love the personality Tony has on the show and always am laughing out loud whenever he interacts with anyone. I agree Red, I think he wouldn't have made it last show if he was going to die. But I have to say I really like Duckie...he just makes me laugh. I can't take it! Why do they have to kill off characters from a show when I actually (for once) like all of the characters! I know not personal or anything, but still, it could hurt the show to do that.

And I thought Ari was really a good guy, being an undercover bad guy operative.

Maybe it's all a hoax and hype, like with Survivors "shocking" moments....

Well, here's something I noticed...I don't know if it means anything though:

On the NCIS website, there's a profile for each of the main actors (Mark Harmon, Sacha Alexander, Michael Weatherly, Sean Murray, Pauley Perrette and the actor who plays Ducky.) There's also a character profile for all of them...except for Sean Murray's Agent McGee. Strange coincidence or big hint?

Yet, looking back on it, there were hints throughout the episode...the "we could die every time we come to work" line...things like that.

That last seen was intense! I really thought Magee was going to be killed, then it being Kate really surprised me. Wasn't expecting that at all at that point. That was so sad!

But Red you are right, there were several hints. But then again I think they hinted at all of the agents throughout the whole episode and made it really difficult to single out "the one"

Be interesting to see the dynamics w/ Kate gone next season. I really hope they don't pull in another female agent just to fill Kate's shoes. That would suck.... I think they should do without another full time character agent for a while anyway.

Why do you guys think Ari chose to shoot Kate? When he had gibbs and tony standing right next to her? To hurt them maybe?

Last night, I was so shocked, but today, I'm sort of pissed. I really like Sasha Alexander, and I hope that she finds another series soon. I don't know how the dynamics will work now, because so much of what made the show great was Tony and Kate's sexual banter.

While, like you LJake, I wouldn't be happy with an immediate replacement, the show does need a strong female presence. Without it, it would just be one big testosterone hour. Do you remember that female agent that Tony had the hots for in Guantanomo? They might be considering her, but I think that they need to get a well known, younger-appealing actress to help improve the show's ratings against AI, you know someone like Heather Locklear, Tiffany Thiesson, or Jeri Ryan.

But how do you replace her? Anyone they replace kate with will end up being playing the same character Kate did.... So kind pointless to have killed Kate in the first place. Didn't Gibbs say he was resigning? Is Mark Harmon going to leave the show? Or does he decide not to resign b/c Kate was killed? So many questions... I'm very nervous for this show, I love it and don't want to see it end now.

I don't know about any of those names you came up with Ragin...They are kinda played out(IMO) I wouldn't mind seeing another female, just can't imagine how they would be written.

(which would be why I am a viewer and not writer on the show!)

I don't know about the people you named, but they do need to bring in another female...maybe ease her into the role. Or, bring in a few "temp" types until they find one who will be equal parts competent agent and foil for DiNozzo.

As for Gibbs resigning, I doubt it would happen now...he's not going to rest until he kills Ari to avenge Kate's death.

All I can think of is when Ari and gibbs were having coffee, gibbs said if you go near her, I'll kill you, so I guess he wanted to hurt them. Now, we will wait and see what happens next season. Meantime, we will enjoy summer and not think about it!!

Any chance Kate's death might prove to be another "dream sequence"?
Earlier in the show, Gibbs was shown with his throat apparently cut (by Ari)...it then turned out to be what Kate had dreamed, instead.

I don't know. I'd love for that to happen, but an article that I read on the net a few days ago that was an interview with the producer made it sound like the death was pretty definite. He was talking about how emotional all of the cast were while shooting it.

I was shocked by the ending. I thought that it would be McGee. I didn't want to see any of them go because I liked the entire cast. I don't understand why these shows think they will improve by killing off a major character.

Either last week or this week's TVGuide says that Sasha Alexander, who played Kate, asked to be let out of her contract. She couldn't take the grind of a weekly show anymore. She was burned out.

Apparently, management didn't want to kill her off either. At least we know why it was her now.

Yeah, I read that too. I'm at least a little happier now that it was her choice to leave. I've also read that they will replace her with another female, but they want to give the show a more international flair so they will be hiring either a European or Australian actress.

I think the absolutely excellent Erica Durance should replace her. Admittedly, she's Canadian which is almost American; but, she is fantastic and would be great with that cast. She is wasted being used so sparingly on Smallville.

I just saw this article this morning. It's a great casting move, but I hope they're still planning on bringing in a "younger" agent to interact with Tony.

I was thinking the same thing last night...def miss Kate. I did like Paula/Tony interaction though. Thought it was an interesting spin to have 2 agents who have been intimate and split but still working together. I laughed quite a bit last night.

Goes along w/ the gibbs and Lauren Holly thing, only funny!

"A red ferrari, just like Magnum."

Anyway, I still love the show!

This is a little off-topic, but I loved the sweater that Tony wore on the show last night. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

I was originally not that impressed with Cote de Pablo. That was likely because she was replacing Sasha Alexander, but she's growing on me.

Lauren Holly must be sleeping with one of the producers.
