I am trying to not hype myself up too much, and then be disappointed. However after seeing an interview today.... I can not wait until to tonight to watch it. This will be the first time in a long time Survivor will be watched after I see this show first.

What is it about? Here is what the description at ABC says:

GET TO KNOW

What if you saw your future 6 months from now? A glimpse of where you will be and who you will be with. Would you look forward to what was coming...or would you try to stop it?

A mysterious global event causes everyone to black out simultaneously for two minutes and seventeen seconds, and each person sees a glimpse of their lives six months from now. When they wake up, everyone is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen.

Los Angeles FBI Agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) is desperate to uncover why this happened and who or what is behind it. And he's not the only one. Before long, everyone starts asking, "What did you see?" As Mark and his team struggle to figure out what caused this bizarre event, they begin to piece together the future by creating a huge database of people's flash forwards from all over the world - The Mosaic Collective. No one knows what these flash forwards mean or exactly what the future really holds. But it is clear that across the globe people who've never met will somehow be intimately connected and will have an impact on each other's lives in the next six months. Some will fear what's coming, others excited; but not a single person will be unaffected.

Adapting award-winning author Robert J. Sawyer's revolutionary novel, executive producers David S. Goyer (co-writer of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight), Brannon Braga (24, Star Trek: Enterprise), Marc Guggenheim (Brothers & Sisters, Eli Stone), Jessika Borszicky (Revelations) and producer Mark H. Ovitz (October Road) invite you to embark on a journey to answer the question, "if you knew what your future held, what would you do?"

This is easily my most anticipated new show of the fall. I've really liked Goyer and Braga's work. Keeping my fingers crossed for FF's success.

Loved every minute of it! Can't wait till next week, this may just become my "new" favorite show of the year. If it stays this good, it will be a must see before anything else on that night.

Ok one cool thing I came across was in the beginning the two FBI agents are sitting in their cars, and behind them is a billboard that is advertising: Oceanic Flight 815 and above the picture of the plane it says "Perfect Safety Record".

Here is a link to a picture, and there might be a bit of spoil stuff in that article for Lost.... for me it did not really give anything away: FF Shout Out to LOST

I enjoyed the spectacle but there ARE some plot weaknesses.

Why did it take me 30 minutes to realize Olivia is Penny? lol

Wow! The little girl Charlie certainly was a big surprise in this episode.

The whole blowing up computers is where I guess the conspiracy theories start up.

I get the huge creep feeling from the injured boys father.

OOps you posted here, I have a link to the picture... a couple up.

You know I spelled the name of this thread wrong?!! The Flashforward people sent me a tweet saying its Flashforward.... not Flash Forward. Someone is paying attention to those who are watching.

Link to Oceanic Billboard

I thought it was awesome when she freaked out at the hospital. And I totally agree about the father, especially when Charlie kept saying "who hurt him?" I even went back to when they say the fathers name, cause I wanted to make sure it wasn't something that started with the letter D. I am horrible at remembering names of chars. on TV.

It was a little freaky and weird The Game the kids were playing at school. I don't think I would have wanted to play either, so I don't blame Charlie one bit. However, I think they gave the father the perfect chance to find out what she did dream when he kissed her goodnight, but he didn't run with it. So something tells me she's going to shed some real light on things when she does talk about it.

I can't think of anything I don't like about this show.

I really, really wanted to like this show, but the jury's still out. I'm hanging in there with it, but in my mind it seems to be floundering (or foundering? which one is the right word?) a bit as it tries to find its way. And I can't help but feel that it's trying to be "Lost," and we really need only one "Lost." I'll stick with it and hope it gets more consistently good. It certainly has its wow moments, but they're few and far between.

And, I can't for the life of me figure out why the alcoholic doesn't just say he was working late, dozed off and came to for about the last 30 seconds of his flash forward. Probably wouldn't advance the plot points they want to develop, but it sure makes more sense that bewildering silence!

I kind feel the same way. At first I was watching it first with excitement, and then watching my Survivor. Now I'm back to watching Survivor first.

I'm still really enjoying this show, and loved the end of the episode last week. It was also a nice surprise to find out more about the female agent who is pregnant in her fast forward.

The one thing I don't understand has to do with the same guy your talking about dj2. The wife told the truth even though she didn't want to, and she knows he's an alcoholic, so why not be honest and tell her that your scared and worried because you saw yourself drinking? If it was me, and it was my husband, knowing that would just help me be more supportive, and possibly give me more understanding as to why I saw what I did. Then use all of that to try and talk about it as much as possible and do what they can to make it not happen.

I tried and tried to like this show, but I'm not watching tonight. When overwhelming feeling is annoyance, I have to admit it's time to abandon ship. Don't care for the lead FBI guy, and I tried to like Dmitri but just can't. I realize I don't have to like the characters to like a show, but this one just isn't working. Hope many of you will stick with it, because I like ABC to do well.

Did anyone notice the words, letters or messages after the show is over and they show scenes from next week's episode?

Thursday, 11/5, the word DIE shows up during a scene. What we have noticed is that these letters show up in the preview but are not there when the episode runs.

Interesting... one week was UN or UM - should have been writing them down.
