Garrett & Jessica hate being the 1st ones there...Garrett keeps saying it sucks to be there. I wonder why Lisa & Eric aren't there? They don't have any real guesses who will be next because they didn't expect to be eliminated so fast. Jessica is already going stir crazy. Garrett was planning on proposing to her at the end mat...so to lift her spirits he decides to ask her now. She was surprised (and said yes)...they have been together for 7 years. Her ring is a gorgeous square cut diamond.

Episode 2



Marcy & Ron arrive. Ron says they're stunned, surprised & disappointed.

They all take a tai chi lesson. They all go out to a nice vietnamese restaurant.

The other teams wonder why another team hasn't shown up yet...it's been at least 48 hours past when they thought the next team should have shown up. They are thinking it's either a passport issue or a serious injury.

They then switch to show Zev & Justin heading to the embassy. Turns out it was turned in to the embassy...someone found it at the monkey place. They had misread the clue and went into a temple...it was dark & Justin pulled out his headlight to see...he figures that the passport fell out when he did that.

Zev & Garrett call the others on the phone...tell them that they had come in first but Lost their passport.

The others tell them they will be welcomed with open arms & lots of cocktails.

Lance & Keri arrive before Zev & Justin...they are all surprised to see "Boston" They are all happy to have Lance & Keri join the group. They get to race in vietnamese boats (baskets) boys against the girls!

and Zev & Justin STILL don't arrive!

Hmmm whats up with Zev and Justin still not being there? I thought for sure this weeks would have a little interview with them. Hope something didn't happen to them.

Basket races - guys against the girls (all 3 guys in one boat racing for a time then the 3 gals in a boat)...the girls have better teamwork & beat the guys by about 9 seconds! the guys make excuses that the girls got to watch them 1st & that the boys weigh more!

They are having cocktails when Zev & Justin (finally) show up!
They all go out to experience the Vietnamese nightlife & Zev decides to try a chicken's foot!

Mika & Canaan arrive the next day...they start explaining about Mika's fear of heights & water...and Canaan explains how he almost pushed her down the slide. I think Canaan said they were at the top of the slide for 45 minutes!

They are hanging around playing cards and having cocktails...when the phone rings & Maria & Tiffany are on the line. All of the other teams trash talk them - say they are the least favorite team, they didn't connect with anyone. The pokers explain what happened and the others said it sounded like a story (because of the lies that they told at the beginning of the race). The Pokers tell them, they'll see everyone at end city and the rest of the teams are happy that they won't be joining them.

The elimination station teams head off to play soccer with some local kids. When the "kids" show up, it turns out to be not kids but players from the Vietnamese National Team...

I was also surprised that NO ONE liked them.

Non-elim week...



The soccer game continues...guys against Vietnamese Pro team. They are playing on a dirt/sand field. It was 4-0 Vietnam won. Lance apologized for being a bad goalie.

A shaman comes to read their fortunes. Zev said he's going to ask her why they Lost their passport on the race. Marcy is a believer - she has her own psychic for 10 years. She's told she will have bad luck for 2 months. The shaman will pray for her in a Buddhist Temple. Ron is told that he'll be meeting someone new in his life...he said he doesn't want to meet anyone else. Zev is a non-believer - he is told that he had something unhappy with his girlfriend last month...he told her to "try again" because he's never had a girlfriend. Then he's told he won't be married soon (and he said she is right about that). Mika says she's going to ask her about her career & love life. She is told that she has love troubles (which Mika agrees with saying she's currently having them). The Shaman says they are better off friends. Then in a confessional, Mika states that Canaan has broken up with her in Elimination Station (not because of the race) - she's bitter, he hopes they can stay friends.

Marcy talks about being afraid of the ocean after seeing a man drown when she was a child. Garrett brings her into the water to help her overcome her fear (she said he has big muscles & looks like a lifeguard). She is psyched when she gets out of the water.

They talk about who will be eliminated next...they all think that it will be Brian & Ericka except for Zev & Justin think it'll be Matt & Gary. Matt & Gary call in...they said they were minutes behind the last team...Matt said now they'll take a different route & end up in end city.

They have a Tae Kwon Do lesson. Lance tells everyone he is a black belt in Kung Fu. they learn forms, Lance spars & they all get to break bricks. Marcy is psyched that she managed to break a brick!

The teams pack up to head to end city. They all feel like it is bittersweet because they had a great time together. Mika & Canaan both reiterate that they have broken-up.

They all talk about where end city will be...Portland & LA are both brought up.
