Lifts are acceptable in some of these dances.
Chuk and Anna are up first with the Texas Two Step.
Sounds like Boot Scoot Boogie. Yup.
This is hard for me to judge, since I don't know exactly what it's supposed to look like.
What I can say is that Chuk doesn't look any more comfortable than he did with any of the other dances.
Nice lifts though.
L: The lifts were very good, and you bring entertainment to the show. There's a novelty about you...but this is a dance competition, and the quality isn't there.
B: You raided the two step. You bring carnage and mayhem to everything you do.
CA: Out of all the dances I've seen you do, you suit the two step the best. You may not have a lot of grace, but you never let the dance beat you.
Scores: 6-5-6. Yeah, that's about right.

Chuk/Anna - Texas two-step - it was okay. It looked like he botched the first lift...but I'm no expert! I think he should be safe...he has a lot of fans.
Melissa/Mark - Charleston - cute! (Especially with the black & white in the beginning.) Looks like she couldn't keep up with him at times, though...Mark's kicks were a lot higher.
What's with some of these guys just standing there or walking around while the woman dances? I'd rather see them go all out and be bad than do nothing. What are they doing in practice all week?
ITA, Hawkeye. Even if you suck, do SOMETHING! LOL!
I blame that on certain female instructors. They need to keep in mind that it isn't all about "them". I know most dances kind of show off the female. But the man can and SHOULD be showcased as well. You aren't much of an instructor, IMO, if you don't give them enough content.

CA: You had the sexy and raunch, and you had sophistication.
L: I never find your routines boring. You set your own standards. Your standards are high, so my expectations are high...and I thought I was gonna get a bit more.

Sorry. In a minority, here. Mya was fantastic! But her dance was SO modern looking, I really don't see how it fit. I know this week's dances weren't ballroom, but it just looked to me like any modern dance by anybody who already has a LOT of dance experience for these days. She SHOULD have rocked. No surprise. And exactly where was the challenge in it for her?
