Most of the cast looks awful tonight...what kind of dances are they doing?


Even Samantha looks like an electrocuted poodle.


Argentine Tango or Paso Doble for the individual dances tonight, and the group Hustle.



Natalie and Alec will start the evening with their Paso.


Sounds like American Woman. Yup.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. It looks good and angry, but the moves seem a little small for a paso. And the music doesn't work for me.


L: You are an accomplished dancer, but I'm seeing a pattern emerging...you've got to work on the characters more.

B: Len is right...the paso has to have conviction.

CA: You're a great student, and you move well, but you stop the movements at your hands. Move past your body.

With the first Argentine Tango of the night, Aaron and Karina.


Karina brings in her friends to show the more mature approach to the dance.

This is racy and saucy. Maybe a little too much for a family program.

And Karina's facial expressions are turning me off.


B: You pulled the focus and magnetism. It was like watching Rob Pattinson tango in Twilight.

CA: Grounded and dramatic.

L: (I missed it, but it was complimentary.)

Michael and Anna have their paso.

The music doesn't seem very paso.

He doesn't look angry enough yet.

Because this is such a rigid dance, and he's so stiff, his form looks good for a change.


CA: Finally! You put your game face on! Favourite dance so far!

L: Posture was good, it was expressive, the haughty way you walked around the floor...

B: Keep that nickel in your butt because it's working for you! (Michael proceeds to give him the nickel.)


Scores: 7-7-7.


Mya and Dmitry do an Argentine Tango.


They take time out of their rehearsal for Habitat for Humanity.

We'll see their dance when we return.

Mya and Dmitry start off hot from the get go.

Her footwork is amazing. Nice lifts.

Wow.


L: Normally I don't like too much messing around on the stage, but this dance works for it.

B: That was intricate and precise. But you always have to keep the emotional connection.

CA: You move so well, but what was slightly missing was the connection.

Mark and Lacey have a paso.


Lacey's hair looks absolutely scary tonight.

This dance really suits Mark though. Nice lines. Good sharp movements.

And a nice chest too.

B: You're turning into the red devil. You were on it!

CA: There's a subtle difference between force and power. Tonight you had power.

L: You need posture, passion and performance. Tonight you had all three.

Well, Louie clearly doesn't mind putting his face close to Chelsie's.


Nice lift.

His footwork isn't very sharp. Lifts are nice though. He's just not doing much dancing.

And not much would look good following Donny and Kym.


L: I wasn't expecting a lot, and I was so pleasantly surprised. You set the mood. Your best dance.

B: Great storytelling. The Lost boy meets the hot chick, a night of passion, and then he gets dumped.

CA: It was a little pedestrian, but what I like is the way you partner her.


Scores: 7-8-7. Okay, the 8 is too high.

I agree Louie was ok, but not in Donny's league. Louie looked exceptionally short in this dance.

MJH and Mark have the third Argentine Tango in a row.

Anna Trebunskaya fills in for a sick Mark during rehearsals.

Her expression is good, but her footwork isn't as precise as Donny or Mya.

Some of her steps seem a bit small. And she leans into him a bit awkwardly at times, while other times she seems a bit far away from him.

Meh.


B: You missed it a few times, missed the steps...you looked slightly grumpy more than sexy.

CA: DISAGREE! You nailed the character. I felt like more and more aggression developed.

L: It lacked a little of the seduction, but the music was fast and full on, and you handled the difficult choreography.


Scores: in 60 seconds. so I'll wait. 8-8-7.

And they're dancing to Crazy Train. PRESSURE!!!


Oh, nice, a ginormous skull superimposed on the dance floor.

It feels hust a hair slow for a paso.


She gets the deer-in-headlights look.



It just didn't do it for me. but Ozzy liked it.



CA: The intensity is so great, but you have to stay in it. It's all there.

L: You were dancing with much more authority. Good job.

B: You did a difficult routine all the way through. When you're on it, you can deliver. So stay on it!

I thought it was a really good show...nice when Len isn't so cranky! lol I have no idea who will go tonight...it should be Louie but he obviously has fans!

Everyone looked like they were having so much fun doin' the hustle! Made me want to get up there & dance with them. Donny's wig was the same hairdo he had in the 70's...he looked just like he did on the Donny & Marie show! Loved Mark Ballas with the pick in his fro & Michael Irvin's big fro!
