Michael & Anna - this was Michael's best dance ever. He had so much emotion and his moves were really great. His scores were right on (except for Bruno - it should have been all 8's).

Mark & Anna - it's awful that Lacey wasn't there. The judges were so harsh on him. I thought his dance was a lot of fun. I thought that was what the dance was all about.

Donny & Kym - I just love Donny love. He looks amazing. And he shines in every dance!!

Aaron & Karina - he has really impressed me lately. He has taken the criticism and ran with it. He's cocky, but it works for him.

Mya & Dimitri - she is always good, but always boring. Stop the stuff that Len hates. Just dance!!!

Kelly & Louis - nice pants Louis. And as Frannie said - it was a mess. How did she get higher than Mark and Michael?? Sympathy votes I think.

Joanna & Derek - Derek gets some of the best dancers. Joanna is amazing. She was so elegant and that dance was very sexy.

Team Tango was so much more in synch than Team Paso. Both dances were great, though. I really wish Natalie was still there. She didn't deserve to go as soon as she did.

I almost don't blame Len. Every time he tells her what HE'S looking to see from her (like less gimmicks and just straight on dancing) she does the opposite. He's asking to see something specific and simple, and she won't give it to him. It's almost being disrespectful of his opinion. And then she looks shocked when she hears him complain that she's doing exactly what he asked her not to do!

The first few weeks I was with Mya...but the past couple I'm understanding Len more. It's almost like Mya thinks she has this thing won already, and as such doesn't have to take Len's comments seriously. Not a wise line of thinking on her part. She can't win on the fan vote alone, and if she makes it to the finals with Donny...well, she'll have wished she'd listened to Len's comments then.

What gimmicks?? I didn't see any gimmicks this time........all I saw was straight-up classy hollywood style dancing.........clearly there is a personal issue he has with her.........nothing else......

I don't see the same thing you do.....she is really trying hard to please him.......I think Sabrina Ryan had the same problem with him.....no matter how good she did Len always scored her low.......and I think it also happened with the gymnast too.......sorry...but I am not buying what Len is putting down for her......scoring her 2 to 3 points lower than the other 2 judges....something more is happening....... shakehead

Monkster, what do you think is happening with Len and Mya? I saw the gimmicks...the screen, which I liked...the crawling on the floor, the lack of hold for a good portion of the dance.

For me, she's good, but as others have said boring. In her Foxtrot she never cracked a smile. She doesn't connect with the audience or Dmitry. Maybe Len feels that, too. And she doesn't seem to listen to his critique or maybe it's Dmitry who isn't.

Roblove, Joanna did the mambo and the salsa...maybe the cha cha. Seems like she had another Latin dance, too.

Monkster, think about it this way:

You've got three judges to please. You have no problem pleasing two of them. The third tells you EXACTLY what to do to get a better score...and you don't do it.

Now, if you were the judge saying exactly what needed to be done to get a top score and that person ignored you, would you feel inclined to give a good score when the dancer once again ignores your instruction? I wouldn't.

The first week, yeah, Len had a bug up his butt. Mya's dance was exceptional for week 1. But since then, I've noticed the more specific the feedback, the more she ignores it and does whatever he said he wasn't looking for. I don't even understand WHY someone in that kind of competition would ignore a judges comments. But she does. And then she complains when Len scores her lower.

Len has never criticized her technique as being wrong. A little off here or there, as with everyone else. Clearly she's technically stronger than most of the competition. But That alone doesn't cut it. The judges want to see growth and progress. They want to know that the dancers have taken their instruction and applied it.

Look at what Len said to Michael last night: the first few weeks Len couldn't wait for Michael to go...but now he's glad he's stayed, because the past few weeks he's shown progress. Technically, Michael's probably the worst dancer left. But he takes the judges critiques and applies them to the best of his ability.

I don't dislike Mya. I haven't seen her have a bad dance. But her dances don't inspire me either. There's something missing...whether it's the lack of connection to her partner or to the dance itself, I don't know. But after I see her dance I think "oh, that was nice." After I see Donny dance I think "damn, I want to do that!"

I disagree! Mya's dances are the most entertaining to me and to the large portion of the viewers. There is a reason why her videos are usually the most viewed. I guess you guys like cheesy since Donny is your favorite! And she did smile during the foxtrot, you guys are not paying attention!

She is trying to please all three judges, the problem is that Len doesn't know what he wants.

The first week, he said it wasn't a vienesse waltz. Third week, he thought the rumba had too many tricks. Fourth week, Mya had to pressure Dmitry into not adding too many tricks to the routine but it turns out Len was expecting more. Fifth week, Len was impressed but the other two judges were not for the first time. Sixth week, they thought that gimmicks could work but it didn't. Seventh week, they added some theatrics to show personality (this was for Bruno and Carrie Ann, who both enjoyed the theatrics of the jive) but they kept the theatrics to a minimum for Len. Went well with the other two judges and even some detractors loved the dance! You guys are being too harsh on Mya when she has no idea what exactly she can do to impress all three judges.

Thanks for your view Red.... hug

Anonymous.....that's how I see it as well.....Len did this to another celebrity in another season...I think it was Sabrina and the gymnast in the other season......no matter how hard she tried to please Len.....she could not....and the one week she did....CarrieAnn & Bruno got tough on her.....if it were me.....I would keep doing what I was doing.....and pleasiing at least 2 of the 3 judges......but Len is being too harsh to Mya.....I don't find her boring at all.......and she should have won the mambo face-off that Joanna won......and if you watch that again.....Len was the final decision to give Joanna the win.....over Mya......but clearly Mya was the better dancer.....all Derek did was bend Joanna backward and keep lifting her head up and down over again to make it look like she was giving a blowjob...... orangerolleyes

Here is what Mya said and it goes along with what I said:

Facing Tough Critics: She’s one of the season’s most consistent and best performers. So why is it every week judge Len Goodman gives Mya and Chaplin their lowest score? “I don’t think he has anything against us,” Mya says. “He wants us to keep pushing to the next level so that we can reach three tens. We’re not achieving some factor in our dance. Either it’s too technical and Bruno [Tonioli] and Carrie Ann [Inaba] won’t like it, or it’s too performance-based or gimmicky. So we have to find a happy Medium to please the audience, the three judges and ourselves and be true to the dance.”
