Watched it last night and it was actually quite cute. When I heard the premise I thought it would be painful to watch but the producers have done a good job not to make it mean spirited or nasty. Its a fun show for the summer and you can learn things like, " ..in 1942 Columbus sailed the ocean blue"

When I was a kid, somewhere I saw a show where they did a joke about that, and the kid couldn't remember if it was "in 1492, Columnbus sailed the ocean blue" or "In 1493, Columbus sailed the great blue sea" and I've had trouble with that one ever since

But I was sorry about the pair who went home last night -- the girl who survived managed to plunge to the bottom of my "like" list in one easy episode.

You mean the girl who was paired up with Joe, the redhead guy? I know what you mean. Seemed like the sweetest, most sincere, least superficial one then BOOM...heads for that other guy Brad.

I watched this as well and was pleased. They found some sweet people - at least for now - for the show and it wasn't hurtful.

I liked the show and found that most of the guys are cute and nice, not to mention smart! The only guy I can't stand is Richard, who's the biggest geek of them all! As for the women, I can't really stand any of them. Maybe Caitlin is okay. But Erika's hooking up with Brad didn't sit well with me, Lauren's just plain annoying, the NBA dancer isn't as pretty as she thinks she is...

I'd like to see a second season of this show with the roles reversed: gorgeous dumb men and average brilliant women. I'd apply if I wasn't too old...

I thought this show was pretty cute...looking forward to watching it again this week. The boys were mostly very sweet with their geekiness and I was entertained watching them try to teach the girls and vice versa I will get tired of the hyperactive one pretty quickly though...

anyone still watching? I FINALLY managed to watch it last night...and really liked it. They took all the things I liked about Average Joe and made it better. I like that it's a "social experiment" so none of them are supposed to hook up by the end of the show...even though I think that someone might. I like that it's opening up the "beauties" eyes to the fact that looks aren't everything...(even though I don't think any of them ~except Richard ~ are that bad looking)!

I'm not sure if this would work...most of the time you see a beautiful woman with a geeky guy...rarely do you see a gorgeous guy with a plain jane woman (prove me wrong, guys)!

Lurk,

You are correct. However, there are generally three exceptions.

1) The girl has breasts the size of the Rockies.
2) The girl can crack walnuts with her thighs.
3) The girl can suck a watermelon through a garden hose.
