Friday Night Lights did not receive high Nielsen ratings last week, according to an article I read today, which scares me into thinking the show could even be cancelled - and it certainly would not deserve to be!
Lights simply does not deserve to be located among this season's losers, including shows like Smith and Happy Hour that have already quickly been cancelled from this Fall's programming.

It's a great show but it is not the best show on TV.

I would have to say Friday Night Lights, Grey's Anatomy, and Project Runway all tie for best 3 shows on tv. But if the ratings don't go up on new shows, they shelf them. And Friday Night Lights should NOT be.

I don't know if FNL is the best show on TV, we've only seen two episodes, but I will say that episode 2 of FNL is the best show I've seen on TV in a long, long time. I watched it a second time just to be sure and yes it was great. If they can keep up that quality for a whole season then yes I would agree FNL is the best show on TV and one of the best ever.
