Yes - help me too. CBS in my area pre-empted Criminal Minds to broadcast the WI Badger - Penn St BB game. Like who cares about the Badger game??? What happened to Reid???

Reid determined that he was in a shed in a cemetary, so he gave the clue to the team through the internet cam, and when they used to clue in relation to where the last murders were committed, they were able to locate him. They found him when the unsub was forcing him to dig his own grave (after he admitted that he had "sinned" by locking his mother away). Reid got the gun in a struggle and shot him. Then, at the end, Gideon was going to walk Reid out, but he told him that he needed a minute. When Gideon left, Reid got the bottles of drugs that the unsub was shooting in his arm, so I guess we're going to have an addiction plot with him now.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

Now - WTF are they doing with the addiction plot!! I hate that! It's like every show says "who can we have addicted to drugs this season". I doesn't matter that it would be totally out of character.

Actually, in Reid's case, it is totally in keeping with the character considering that his momma is in a psychiatric hospital.

Thing is, Reid is the sensitive type. I always figured he was just taking the drugs so that the unsub wasn't caught with them...because he'd had a history of drug abuse, and didn't want to make his death look any worse than it was.

I dunno...I just think weird things...

Thanks for the recap. I'm hoping to catch the episode in reruns but wondered what happened. Did they flashback to what happened to the villan's father and explain the split personality of the killer?

I just saw you post, Red. Sorry!!

You could possibly be right, but I still think that he took the drugs for himself. There had to be a reason for all of those flashbacks with his mother and why they showed his "track marks" where Tobias was shooting him up.

My thoughts on him taking the drugs was that each time the unsub (I like saying that one too), injected him it took him back to his childhood and his time with his mother. Reid has been struggling with the guilt of having been the one to institutionalize his mother...so I'm thinking he took them in hopes of reconnecting with her. Remember...they showed a very touching flashback scene of her reading him Faust or someone to him, and those seem to be special memories that Reid possesses.

I really like Reid and I'm hoping that they don't walk him down the addiction path....but you never know in reel life....they are always looking for the drama, and sometimes do it at the expense of the character.
