Grey's Anatomy: 9/10...I loved Mer acting like an adult and taking responsibility. I loved her interaction with Norman. I loved the Christina/Derek/Lexie stuff. I loved the Alex/Izzie/George/Callie stuff, especially Izzie calling Alex out on his hypocrisy. But that last scene between Mer and Der? What the **** was that???

I agree and I guess that means Der is going to start dating.

Hey Babs!

I thought it was a good show last night. My thoughts on the various characters and stories:

CALLIE - Excellent work from Sara Ramirez last night. The show has not been kind to Callie but in this episode she was really given a forum to be sympathetic and raw and Ramirez hit all the right notes! Awesome!

IZZIE - It's a good thing Heigl is so appealing, because Izzie can be such a pain. The humorous aspects of her anticipating the fight were good but her overall lack of sense for what she's done is painful to watch. It was nice to see her get the reality check from Callie and Alex last night.

ALEX - I much prefer Alex un-likeable than likeable. He's so on point the past few weeks, exposing George's "super intern" fraud (SO Alex) and reminding Izzie it isn't all about her. Too bad "Ava" returns next week because I think she softens Alex too much. I don't mind seeing that he has a heart, I just don't want that to be his overriding characteristic.

GEORGE - The running scenes were funny and the awkward, comedic stuff that TR Knight does best. Though his affair (if you can even call it that) with Izzie was a mis-step, it's all been worked back into character with the reminder that George rushed into marriage with Callie to push down his grief over his father's passing. Let's hope he can walk away from Izzie and extricate himself from his mistake cleanly before moving on.

MEREDITH - Ellen Pompeo tends to get overlooked in the show that bears her name because of the showy talents of her cast mates, but I thought she really shined last night by not overplaying things. She has a way of communicating that she wants the fairy tale with Derek but her own screwed up parents have left her incapable of allowing it to happen. A nice way to play this couple's arc without it seeming too repetitious.

DEREK - Sorry, McDreamy fans, but I was kinda' gagging during Patrick Dempsey's "oh so romantic" chat with Meredith about how he wants it all with her...even before the "I'll wait, but if someone else comes along while I'm waiting..." (which I actually liked!). I could just picture Dempsey thinking "my lady fans are gonna LOVE this" as he's emoting and giving the smile and the sweet talk. Didn't work for me at all. I did like how he managed Christina though!

CHRISTINA - Sandra Oh always delivers, no matter what she's handed. She's funny as the always acerbic one. I don't understand hospitals that well, but do ALL residents have interns? Otherwise, some people just aren't meant to be mentors and Christina (and Alex) should not be teaching. Let's see her learn that Bailey's toughness is supported by true heart for her pupils and realize the importance of imparting knowledge. The pairing of her and Lexie is a good one.

LEXIE - Still on the fence with her. Chyler Leigh's doing a great job playing her, but I still haven't got a great handle on the character.

THE CHIEF - Great work by James Pickens Jr. last night too. I liked that he didn't give in to Adele and try to talk his niece out of what she wanted to do. Very moving stuff.

BAILEY - Ah, the favorite one who is lacking in screen time these days. Good thing Chandra Wilson can make magic out of whatever she's given. I like the direction of her serving as conscience and guide to Callie. Since everyone else alienates her, it's good to have someone in her corner.

SLOAN - Without Addison to play off, he's basically a prop on the show now and not really a necessary one. I hope they find a direction for him or else let him go and use the time for the other under-served characters. Nothing against the actor who does fine with what he's given. I did think it was a bit out of character to be so down on Meredith last night, though. Not because she didn't deserve it (well, she didn't, though she was right to take responsibility for the error since she was supervising the intern that made it) but because Mark and Meredith have always had a good relationship (the "dirty misstresses" club) and he could have handled her much better.

I think I covered everyone. Good show and hope Greys keeps it up!

I agree on the work Sara Ramirez has done. Not only have they made her a sad sack that's incompetent, they make her walk around with no make-up, yet she's delivered excellent performance after excellent performance.

I haven't like the George/Izzie story at all, last week was the first time I had any good feelings about it, and this week back to disgust with it. Izzie is a selfish whiney brat. Way worse than Meredith, and that's a feat.

I know its bad but I really like Izzie. Shes made some of the worst decisions on the show and KH is very outspoken but I love the character of Izzie.

Grey's Anatomy: 10/10...I love that they gave us a sign of where things are headed and managed to avoid any cliffhangers. As for triangle, there is no triangle because it is over. I was just reading at TWoP earlier in the hour that apparantly had there not been a strike, Mer and Der were going to be done for good. And honestly say Grey's doesn't return until next fall, it wouldn't surprise me if they kept them apart forever now.

I enjoyed the ep. but as far as Mer and Der..........
