I thought it looked interesting. I just hope that they develop those male characters more to be kinda quirky. I think that having mostly male characters may mean it is not likely to be viewed as a chick show.

That guy who gave her a lift to get cigs sounded like he could be a colorful character. I would think that the mix of people living in that place could be interesting.

I wasn't sure if that women in the next room was actually admitting to being a prostitute. That does add another dimension to being in a place like that, especially if you are a women. She seemed to be rather candid about it and then expected some judgement.

I liked the road signs she used for her presentation. Her presentation (before she arrived in alaska) seemed like it was something women would go to.

I hope that the writers develop these locals into interesting characters. That wildlife guy seems interesting. He may be carrying a torch for Lynn?

I liked how the bartender said "you have the dirty harry syndrome." Then the guys are giving their perspective of how women want men to be strong and handy, AND they also want them to watch chic flicks with them too. They were enlighening her about how men can't be all things to women. That is so true.

t seems like a cute premise. Put some female dating coach in a place populated by mostly men and show her a few things about dating by forcing her to see men in a new light.

I don't know, maybe I'm in need of some fluff and freshness because I really liked Men in Trees. It had some flaws, but I had fun with it and I loved being back in a Alaska. I loved Northern Exposure and I am glad that it has tones of that show. Nothing wrong with that IMO. It was just refreshing to me and hopeful. I am not the most hopeful person lately and I liked that this show was hopeful. Loved when she tossed her wedding dress over the mountain. I thought it was a fun show and I can see how it might be difficult to keep it up, but we shall see, "hopefully."

I didn't like it. Snore fest. I'm really pissed that the character Jerry from ER is on this show. This leads me to believe that they might kill him off ER which would really suck because he's been on it since the start.

I find that I don't care much for the Cops shows. I think we have seen so many of them now, with L&O and now CSI franchises.

I like Criminal Minds and Numbers which I think are not so gory. Those two shows seem more high brow to me and not so depressing. But, those cop shows can be depressing sometimes especially since they seem to be on so often.

I watched this last night and while I will still watch it again, it really was a recycycling of the other Alaska set show--I believe it was called Northern Exposure. City person comes to quaint Alaskan town with unusual characters, spends a lot of time in a local bar, gets caught up in a romance, interacts with local customs, oh and the bartender as millionaire definitely reminded me of a millionaire in Northern Exposure. There are some differences and I am not saying I won't watch but its recycling a show from long ago.

I enjoyed both episodes last night. I hadn't planned on watching, because of some of the reviews, but forgot to un-program it from my DVR. I had quite a few laughs, and found that it was entertaining.

Have a really stressful job, I really want some form of brain candy at the end of the week when watching television..and this show did it for me. I believe I'll leave it on the line-up.

I liked it too, but it is "brain candy". That's good.

I do want to watch a little fluff to lighten up my load. It was a little like Northern Exposure II, I will give it a shot.

It may be one of those shows that I don't watch weekly, but have a few episode marathon on a weekend?
