I thought it looked interesting. I just hope that they develop those male characters more to be kinda quirky. I think that having mostly male characters may mean it is not likely to be viewed as a chick show.

That guy who gave her a lift to get cigs sounded like he could be a colorful character. I would think that the mix of people living in that place could be interesting.

I wasn't sure if that women in the next room was actually admitting to being a prostitute. That does add another dimension to being in a place like that, especially if you are a women. She seemed to be rather candid about it and then expected some judgement.

I liked the road signs she used for her presentation. Her presentation (before she arrived in alaska) seemed like it was something women would go to.

I hope that the writers develop these locals into interesting characters. That wildlife guy seems interesting. He may be carrying a torch for Lynn?

I liked how the bartender said "you have the dirty harry syndrome." Then the guys are giving their perspective of how women want men to be strong and handy, AND they also want them to watch chic flicks with them too. They were enlighening her about how men can't be all things to women. That is so true.

t seems like a cute premise. Put some female dating coach in a place populated by mostly men and show her a few things about dating by forcing her to see men in a new light.

I don't know, maybe I'm in need of some fluff and freshness because I really liked Men in Trees. It had some flaws, but I had fun with it and I loved being back in a Alaska. I loved Northern Exposure and I am glad that it has tones of that show. Nothing wrong with that IMO. It was just refreshing to me and hopeful. I am not the most hopeful person lately and I liked that this show was hopeful. Loved when she tossed her wedding dress over the mountain. I thought it was a fun show and I can see how it might be difficult to keep it up, but we shall see, "hopefully."

I didn't like it. Snore fest. I'm really pissed that the character Jerry from ER is on this show. This leads me to believe that they might kill him off ER which would really suck because he's been on it since the start.

I find that I don't care much for the Cops shows. I think we have seen so many of them now, with L&O and now CSI franchises.

I like Criminal Minds and Numbers which I think are not so gory. Those two shows seem more high brow to me and not so depressing. But, those cop shows can be depressing sometimes especially since they seem to be on so often.

I watched this last night and while I will still watch it again, it really was a recycycling of the other Alaska set show--I believe it was called Northern Exposure. City person comes to quaint Alaskan town with unusual characters, spends a lot of time in a local bar, gets caught up in a romance, interacts with local customs, oh and the bartender as millionaire definitely reminded me of a millionaire in Northern Exposure. There are some differences and I am not saying I won't watch but its recycling a show from long ago.

I enjoyed both episodes last night. I hadn't planned on watching, because of some of the reviews, but forgot to un-program it from my DVR. I had quite a few laughs, and found that it was entertaining.

Have a really stressful job, I really want some form of brain candy at the end of the week when watching television..and this show did it for me. I believe I'll leave it on the line-up.

I liked it too, but it is "brain candy". That's good.

I do want to watch a little fluff to lighten up my load. It was a little like Northern Exposure II, I will give it a shot.

It may be one of those shows that I don't watch weekly, but have a few episode marathon on a weekend?

I do like this show a lot. I just might have to make a trip up north! Haven't dated in so long that, that might be just the place to get back in The Game....
Now if it was truly like that and men still liked dating women over 45

Okay.. Im a farm girl at heart also and love the open spaces instead of city life. Do they get cable up there??

Great show

It really is a cute show, and it is easy watching.

I actually just happened to tune in the first friday it was on, and I was not planning on watching, just did not seem that interesting and the reviews before it came out were not that good...but I was wrong, and so were the reviews, it is good and I tune in weekly and look forward to it.

That's pretty close to my experience. I wasn't sure if I was going to watch it, but tuned in the first week and gave it a chance, and I like it. I thought it would get cancelled actually, but surprisingly it's hanging on, and it helps that they moved it to Thurs after Grey's.

I really enjoy this show....and I LOVE Jason O'Mara....but is anyone else just not 'feeling' the Jack & Lynn reconnection? All of a sudden I feel like everything is rushed.....Stuart shows up all the while Jack is experimenting with his feelings/attractions to Lynn. And then Sara returns and walks in on Theresa making out with Ben in the Chieftan's kitchen.

I just feel like the writers could have given us a few 'build-up' episodes to each of these storylines...and let us 'feel' the struggles of the Jack/Marin/Lynn triangle and the Theresa/Ben/Sara storyline.

It just feels like I missed a few episodes and I feel cheated that I didn't get to experience the real breakup of Marin & Jack. I want to like Stuart & Marin together....again....because I LOVE Jason O'Mara....but I never really got any closure on Jack & Marin....and I just don't 'feel' the Jack/Lynn connection. At all.

Well in the previews for this week, it looks like Jack is going in for a kiss with Marin. Then again for all we know it's on the cheek, but it's tempting. I love this show, but I agree. Seriously? Lynn's pregnant with another man's child. You want the past and all but not when you have someone hot already. You go for the ex when you are alone. And lonely.

Yeah, I'm not feeling the Jack/Lynn reconnect. Doesn't really make sense. It's like they needed to have a triangle for a storyline. It was going well until they brought Lynn back.

I watched two episodes today... they were very good. I especially liked the episode where Jane meets Plow Guy.

This show, to me, is like working out. I don't really want to do it, but then once I get started I think, "Geez... this isn't so bad."

So it appears that Men In Trees is being given a new shot. The announcement was made that they will move MIT to Thursdays behind Grey's Anatomy.

Six Degrees has been put on hold until January.

I'm interested to see how MIT does behind the new episodes of Grey's. The numbers were good behind the reruns, so we'll see. I like this show and want it to do well!

I love Men in Trees, but I feel like I've had a lifetime relationship with ER on Thursdays~ I know ER has been going downhill lately, but this seasons been pretty good. I don't know if Men in Trees can compete.

I also watch ER...but have 2 vcr's so I can tape both shows. MiT's is just a happy, fluffy show. I loved Jane & Plow Guy this week! And, Patrick calling Mei, Mom-Mei...

I think it should be compatible with Grey's Anatomy's audience too.

I think it'll pair up well. I watch ER, but I DVR all of the shows I watch because I hate commercials. Give me the show, faster is better! lol

I also liked Patrick's shirt: Kiss Me I'm Blasian. And Celia says, You're not Blasian, you're Blirish!

Jack/Lynn at the alter and Marin runs in and Jack says I take thee Marin. Oh this is stupendous and my girl Seona Koefoed will be rocking the House. Most upsetting... The next episode is to TBD

The only night I look forward to watching TV at all
This is a great show and I hate the thought of what might happen.. I think they should move it to cable where they can even make it more interesting that is if ABC is planning on pulling it.

actually, they changed the date. they put "notes from the underbelly" in mit's place. mit has yet to have a "comeback" date, but don't worry, mit has been picked up for a second season! so don't worry!

I watched the pilot when it aired here in Ireland, but it was on a weird hour, so i haven't seen any more ep's! i really liked it and i can't find it on theweb. Do any MIT fans on here know of a site where i can stream ep's? I've tried daily motion, Go Fish, Bebo to no avail!

I know they are repeating but it better then always watching reality shows. So I'll make it a girls night and just enjoy. Of course the remaining unseen episode's of Season 1 will make more sense with watching a few that I did miss.

For Men in Trees, I know the last five episodes of season one (which will be episodes 2-6 for the second season in the United States) are available for download via various torrent sites. I don't know how you feel about downloading shows, and there are questions about whether or not it is legal, but I know they are out there that way.

Other shows I get to watch through my buddies who get preview copies. I don't get preview copies myself... which is good. If a company hires me and gives me information, then I only share it when and how they say I can. I want to make sure I can continue to butter my bread!

That's great and as for me, no downloading shows, I'd have to call one of my sons to fix my puter. I'll stick to posting and emailing, but thanks for sharing.

I'm afraid the above is exactly why this show is such a longshot for next season Stupid ABC, moving shows and not promoting them as much as they should

The show is cute, but I am tired of Patrick's storyline. Get your memory back Patrick!

I'm liking the new Patrick... I just hope he get a little more rougher around the edges. It will be nice to see him as MIT type of young man then a mama's boy.
Looking forward to this Wednesday's show. The promo on ABC site actually makes it a must see epi.

The new Patrick is fun...but not the way it should be. Patrick get your memory back..it is boring with the cast trying to remind you of the way you were...

But that's not what he's becoming. He's becoming a selfish, belching bore. I did like his scene bonding with his dad, but Patrick isn't the typical MIT guy, he's a sensitive guy that actually talks instead of keeping things to himself. It'd be a bore, I think, to see him end up just like Jack and Cash, etc.

I like the storylines with Jane/Sam "Plow Guy" and Sara/Carl so much better.

Okay you have a point. I to enjoyed the bonding seen. But I do like that his is becoming more independent of his mother. It will be interesting to see how she handles it as time goes on. I know first hand how hard it is to let go of a boy becoming a man.... And Man is it Tough... Watching this has made me back off of him (my son). Let him make those oh so important mistakes so that they can actually stand on there own...

bjpup....sounds like you have only 1 child who is now an adult...I have 3 adult sons..the more freedom they had (in a good way) growing up, the more they respected me. Patrick is an only child and being raised by just his mother can't be easy, but she has to let go, with that being said, I would like to see Patrick get hit on the head and return to his character. His mother has had it tough enough. Good Luck with your son. BTW...we do have Zappy Therapy if you want to talk about it.

I just feel bad for annie! I mean she moved out all this way to be with the man she loves, only to lose him..

I like the whole concept of Men In Trees. This little town full of people with rich personalities. That is the main reason I watch the show. The concept & Characters...

It was a great ep. The only thing that bothered me was that guest actor's buggy eyes (the one that was on the porch). I swear sometimes it seems like they are casting for a cheap sitcom instead of a romantic drama. Oh well. Many great moments in the ep. I love how Jerome has had history added to his life, making him so much more than a barfly. And poor Cash...

I like this show in Wednesday nights...
Looking forward to a really good episode tonight from the looks of the promo on ABC site.

I just don't get why (Okay I know that ABC moved this show around more then #@#$##it)this show doesn't get better ratings.
Last nights show was very good as usual and with each episode getting better and better.
I really like this time slot also, the kids are in bed. Its the day where we start thinking about our weekends. Just a really good show to end the day with.

I had to look up the ratings...4.1/7 is really bad. At least I now know how they are going to take care of Cash. Patrick is really getting nasty with his mother. Poor thing, it had to be hard for her to raise him on her own and he is 26 and really should have more respect for her.

Oh well, we will see how they get along as time goes on.

I too love this show. It's one of my favorite tv series. I liked season 1 very much. It has a great humor.
