First time Top Chef-er. So far I like it...pretty fast paced and the foods they make are interesting.

I don't like the female host...she bugs me and makes weird mouth faces when she talks.

Richard and Jennifer - can't tell the 2 apart. They have the same 'do'.

I like the Aussie muffin, too. I thought the guest judge was funny with the comment about the sideburns.

The mushrooms Nikki made looked horrid.

I love Padma.

The first year was Billy Joel's baby bride, Katie ( Katie Lee )

Padma Lakshmi is an interesting story herself as the newly ex wife of Salman Rushdie. ( Padma ) Survivor fans, her middle name is Parvati.

I rather enjoy her also. I think one of the things I like is she never tried to hide her scar. She wears it and is still a beautiful woman. Plus she does add a little something to the show because I really can't see any of the other judges interacting with the contestants as much as she does.

When I first saw the first episode of Season two I didn't like Padma, but by the 2nd episode I warmed up to her.

I agree she interacts very well, and has very good input on it all. She has a pretty warm personality.

The scar on her arm saved her mothers life in a bad car accident so she is proud of that scar.

I think Padma works well on the show. She can be critical without being bitchy (a skill Gail hasn't quite mastered as well). She also has a funny side...I loved last season's breakfast challenge when the final 6 (?) had to make her a breakfast. Hung made a smoothie and added Grand Marnier because "Padma likes to drink" and another contestant said when considering their dish, "I know Padma likes marscapone (sp) cheese and liquor". That just cracked me up. She seems to be able to laugh at herself.

Comments on last night's show?

Andrew's a spaz...but I like him. I wonder if when his time comes they WILL need to get security to drag him out.

I can't tell most of the girls apart yet.

I would rather have eaten the Red Team's food (sliders, corn dogs) but I get that they Lost because their food didn't hold up from kitchen to catering table. I wonder why they couldn't get that...

I think Nikki is not long for this game after two miserable showings in a row (the turd mushrooms and the brick mac n cheese).

I think Ted Allen's great and enjoy when he's on the panel. I hope he got reimbursed for Padma's marshmallow drop on his shoe.

Those s'mores looked really good.

So did the cinammon won ton chips.

So did the (soggy) corn dogs. I like corn dogs. I think they should be more readily available in our society. Why can't I go to McDonalds and get one? It's not like they're hard to make.

Making them go door-to-door for ingredients was at the same time inspired and sort of lame.

Could either Spike or Andrew shave so I can tell them apart easier? Or can Spike continue to wear stupid hats if he's unwilling to shave?

I think that's all I got this week.

I half-watched, only because by the time it aired here, I had to fast for a test I took this morning. All that food only made me want to eat...and I couldn't!

I see the challenge creators did their homework...they found a safe part of Chicago to let the chefs go door-to-door.

This is my first season watching. Do they often have catering challenges like this? There've been two in a row now, and it seems like both times, the elim was based on who's food didn't withstand the transport conditions.

They usually have to cater a couple of times a season in one capacity or another...it was a bit strange to see it back to back. Next week's preview looked like a straight table service challenge.

When Andrew lipped off about having to be dragged out I thought he was gone! I do agree on the food being more oriented to the neighborhood but the challenge was supposed to test their skills and the winning team did aspire to higher standards. They are lucky the judges got to pick the winning team because I don't think the neighborhood would have picked them but still this is a cooking show.

I thought it was funny to see these guys come out with recyclable bags filled with food from the residents pantries. Can you imagine letting strangers raid your pantry and watch your week's groceries disappear?
