"The season opens with some bombshells!" teases creator Eric Kripke, who already jolted viewers when he sent Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) to Hell in May's season finale. Season 4 opens four months later, when Dean wakes up with no memory of his torment. "What happened to Dean in Hell and to [younger brother] Sam (Jared Padalecki) when he had to be a hunter by himself will slowly come to light," Kripke says. "It gives us a nice opportunity for an internal struggle for Dean and for the brothers to surprise each other." Katie Cassidy (Ruby) and Lauren Cohan (Bela) are both gone, but Jim Beaver and Steven Williams are back as geezer demon fighters Bobby and Rufus. Get set for a revealing flashback to the Winchester parents' teen years, an homage to 1930s monster flicks, and a bloody Halloween show.

Isn't the body of Meg Masters long dead, though? I thought they made a big deal of it in season one that, once the demon possessing her was was removed, she experienced the pain of falling multiple stories, having her bones broken, and getting shot in the abdomen. With her dying words, didn't she tell the boys where John was?

I'm kind of curious as to how they plan on bringing her back.

Yup she is dead, think about the other two who are coming back with her.

I think evil ghosts and spirits might play a part of Dean's torture he couldn't save them...

So the demon is coming back, and it's repossessing Meg's body, then? That's nice in a way, I loved Nicki Aycox. However, I am disappointed, I really liked the way her host expired, directing the bothers to their father with her dying breath. I hope they give a compelling reason as to why the demon decided to repossess her body, rather than taking another warm, living body. Has it been established that demons can possess dead bodies? I always assumed the bodies had to be alive for a possession to occur.

Azazel's return is also nice, although I hope that: 1) This doesn't cause the Lilith story to be downgraded, I loved that demon, and the true mythology behind Lilith and 2) That the writers actually have a good reason for bringing him back, other than just as a stunt to boost ratings.

Azazel probably gave the best performance of all the demons which was good but if they bring him back this should really cause a hole since it would ruin the whole reputation of the COLT(which was magnificent that this ancient and rare gun with limited bullets could kill anything and Azazel did mention that was the only thing that could kill him).

Does anyone else think that Javier Bardem(No Country for Old Men, Vicky Christina Barcelona) looks like he could be related to Jeffery Dean Morgan.
