Is anyone watching this season? This one has been wild!!! I am really worried about Captain Phil. I hope he is ok. I don't know if the producers are making it more dramatic or if he really is that sick. I wonder if they saw lung cancer on the x-ray. And what about that kick butt storm!!! Those waves were huge!!!! I felt seasick just looking at them. I am glad they are finally firing Moi. When they started out they were worried about the young guy, but he was the biggest dissapointment. Any other thought? Lets chat!

The ship got tossed around during a really BAD storm. Phil got thrown out of his bunk and hit the corner of cabinet and broke some ribs. He toughed it out for a couple of days (while coughing up more and more blood). He finally decided to go to the hospital. When he went to the hospital in Dutch Harbor, they said they had to medi-vac him to the hospital in Anchorage. When he got there they saw that he had a blood clot floating around in his body, it went through his heart and everyting. It was now lodged in his lungs, which was the reason for coughing up blood. They have him in intensive care monitoring him. He is sooooo lucky.

I hope he's not leaving for good, but the way they aren't talking about him, I get the feeling he did.

I'm glad Phil is back, but had hoped he would stop smoking. I know that is something that isn't good for people who get blood clots.

How about the Wizard crew? God they were soo lucky!! I really hope Monty is ok, but sounds for sure like he's done for now. It will be interesting to see what they do if the other 2 can't go back out. You could see how guilty and upset Keith was.

First part of their season is for King Crab. Second part, when there is a ton of ice and the boat is always freezing over, they fish for Opilio crab (sold as Snow Crab). They are much smaller but they catch bigger amounts of them.

Ahh, I'd heard of them fishing for Opelio crab, but didn't know what that was.
