A single father from Washington broadcasts his relationship status to the country only to be swamped with letters from adoring female fans. Sleepless in Kirkland?

Well, almost.

This time around, it’s Jason Mesnick, also known as the man The Bachelorette’s DeAnna Pappas passed over in the show’s finale. The 32-year-old father (son Ty is 3) has a new email account for any fans wishing to contact him.

“I’ve gotten thousands of comments from fans,” Mesnick tells PEOPLE. “The generosity and the kindness is unbelievable. Every one is so sweet and nice. All the comments are pure love.”

After Pappas told him in the finale her “heart is somewhere else,” Mesnick’s fans overloaded his MySpace account with comments and then bombarded ABC with requests to get in touch with him. Producers of the show finally set up a separate e-mail account just for him. Fans can contact Jason directly at fanofjason@gmail.com.

“This really was set up as a way to accommodate his fans who wanted to reach out to him, not as a way of finding a match for him,” an ABC rep says. Mesnick checks the address once a day and tries to respond to every fan — even if it is just with a simple thank you.

“Every email starts the same. ‘I’ve never done this before and I’m not a stalker,’” he says. “I’ve even gotten a Sleepless in Seattle letter.”

Even if he doesn’t find love online, Mesnick is feeling pretty good from the responses. “I don’t care who you are in the world, Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan, you have some sort of doubts about yourself,” he says. “To know that people like me and accept me for exactly who I am feels so good.”

Hi, Jason. My husband & I lived in Port Orchard & Everett, WA, worked in Seattle, till just a little over 2 years ago, when we moved to Texas. I will always miss it.

Anyway, we haven't seen the end of the show though, so don't know where you are in your life right now, but hope you will be happy.---
Deanna had what she felt was a tough decision to make. Then, when she was on the outside of the box, there must have been something with Jason that wasn't shown when she was on the inside of the box. Don't let tears, pride, or ego get you to where you may not want to end up at, or thinking that it wouldn't be fair to the other girls if you didn't end up marrying one of them. Life isn't always fair, and people go on. I believe you and Deanna are good for each other, and your son, Tai. She truly is a good woman. Sherry

Listen. I know that a lot of people are mad at you for what you did to Melissa. (My Mother is one of them). Heres a shock. IM NOT. You needed to follow your heart! I was watching the show, PRAYING you would pick Molly. I had a feeling when Molly said you would get hurt again she was right. She was. Melissa was a wonderful girl but she wasnt the perfect puzzle piece for you. She will have a wonderful life and will be someone's princess. But i knew FROM THE START that Molly was right for you. I always liked her. Do me a favor.... Dont feel guilty for hurting Melissa. She was hurt again yes but you needed to follow your heart and one day one of you would wake up and regret marrying the other. She will find her prince charming soon. I have a feeling. But you need to do what you feel is right and that was to follow Molly. I know DeAnna's ultimatum was hard. You made the right desision.... also... i know what you would have gone through if you had married Melissa. Her FAMILY didnt want to meet you. That says a lot. That soooooooooooo many fans reacted over this. As if they had an emotional connection with Jason and/or Melissa.

People break up everyday.... why aren't we reacted to those?
