Anyone watch last night? It was the 1st episode of the new season...Gordon went back to some of the places from the 1st season. I haven't watched all of it yet, but the 4 restaurants that I've seen that he went back to...the Irish (family run) restaurant on LI, the Old Mill in Westchester, The Mixing Bowl (owner is also the chef w/the manager that cried a lot) also on LI, and the Indian place in Manhattan (originally called Dillon's Restaurant) all have kept the changes that Gordon helped them make & are all making $$ now. I think there are 2 more in the episode (the teaser is about the Italian restaurant in NJ). I wonder if any of the places went under, made other changes & if Gordon will visit them.

It really makes you realize that you have no idea what is going on in the kitchen when you go to a restaurant.

I really tried to watch it, but got bored. Too much rehashing, and not enough updating. I think i'm on Gordon overload, because I took it off my Season Pass list.

I'm even bored with his British version, and that was the better version of the two. Thats off my list also.

that's the good thing about dvr'ing it...I ff'd through a lot of the recap stuff.

They only showed restaurants that listened to GR & are much more successful than they were before GR visited them. I think they should have at least thrown in 1 that failed...

Oh well c'est la vie!

Oh I DVRed mine too! I detest commercials. However even with ff I couldn't stand it.

Oh well I might see Gordon next summer if I feel like it.
