Glad to see I'm not the only one picking the show apart. lol

First what I liked;

"Are you going to eat my brain?" "That's disgusting!" Great shout out to all the internet speculators. lmfao

Also liked Matt thinking the tortoise was talking to him.

I'm over Sylar. Don't find him scary anymore BUT, if they are keeping him around, I do like that they seem to be trying to do something different with him.

What I didn't like;

Nikki was dead! She was gone! It was a done deal! I don't need to see her brought back as what is obviously the twin sister who was supposed to have died! People, meet the real Jessica. raspberry

Peter apparently gets really stupid in the future (must have absorbed some sort of lobotomy power) but what can you expect from a 30-something guy that chases teenage women. Oh wait, that's him in real life (icky!). Hard to follow that Peter's humble character would become arrogant enough to try and fiddle with time.

and where the Hell did he get that scar? Peter can heal! What happened? Did his whole face get ripped off?

Speaking of out of character, why would Hiro open the safe? His past actions would not seem to indicate that he was this childish ("I don't wanna be a sentinel! I wanna be a HERO!") and why didn't he just go back in time and get his father to switch the paper in the safe with a fake formula? Unlike Peter, Hiro was meticulous in his ealier time fiddling.

Also speaking of out of character, have you ever met a scientist that would be so foolhardy as to inject themself with an experiment with NO testing? It was reminding me of this movie I saw where a guy combines his DNA with a fly and gets all of these super fly powers... I think it was called... Spiderman.

So now Claire can't die. What the Hell happened to "Save the Cheerleader, save the world". I thought Sylar had killed her in that other timeline.

One other thing that I did like.

Wasn't that reporter the guy who used to star in Greatest American Hero?

Believe it or not, I’m walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it’s just me.

Dang! If only he hadn't left that suit at home. THEN I'll bet Tracy would have been sorry!

My boyfriend had the same exact reaction and thought about Peter's scar. It doesn't make any sense, except to make it more obvious who was Peter from the future and who is Peter from the present.

I also didn't get why someone would inject themselves like that. Someone else referenced the movie "The Fly" and thats exactly what came to my mind.

As for Claire, we came up with the thought that the only way she can die is to have her head cut off? We know she can grow a toe back, but what if the heart and brain are disconnected? There would be no blood going to the brain to tell it to regrow. Just like I would think she couldn't live without a heart. If there was no blood pumping at all, nothing would get a signal. Not to say being stabbed in the heart, but what if it was completely ripped from her chest and then stabbed? I think her not being able to die is just a little to over the top, even for that show. Everything has a weakness, every super hero, super villain, everything.

Wait! If you cut Claire in half... would each half grow into a new Claire? eek

lmfao

I watched the premiere last night and strongly agree with many of the dislikes previously posted in this thread. Simply put, Heroes has jumped the shark. The four key moments: 1) Claire in the closet. Sylar is arguably the most powerful being on earth and he cant bust a door open? 2) The sudden changes in character for Mohinder and Hiro. Hiro wants to be a hero, but he's not stupid. Likewise, Mohinder's observations as one without super powers no longer apply. 3) Sylar being a Petrelli. For some reason, this reeked of "stunt move" 4) Nikki/Tracy and Linderman coming back. Issac sure got the short end of the stick by being the only character to stay dead. Nikki went out in a blaze of glory last year and it should have stayed that way.

And so, it was with great sadness, that I booted the show off my DVR last night.

Too bad you didn't watch episode 2. Nicki is dead we saw her body and coffin. Second at first I did think she was a triplet because Micah found that she was born in the same hospital,on the same date by the same doctor as Nicki. But when she went to see the doctor he said he made her. So I am thinking she is a clone.

As for Sylar being her son wasn't there some speculation on this board last season that he might be Peter's brother as their powers are similar? I am liking the story of Sylar being helpful. What I can't figure out is what hold the mother has over him. Is it part of her power?

I agree with you about Mohinder.

Yes Sylar could have blasted the door open but I think he got off on scaring the bejeebies out of her.

I agree with you, Trixie. I now think Nikki/Jessica/Tracy are clones, and there could be more of them. I remember this movie from the 70's that had a girl named Anna who was cloned into about 12 other Anna's.

Sylar isn't the all powerful being he was in Season 1. He Lost a lot of his powers and now he only has 2 or 3. Peter is far, far more powerful.

I can't recall, have they ever explained to us what Sylar's original power was exactly?

Sylar's original power was the ability to take the powers of others. Suresh's father did all that testing and had concluded that he had no power until Sylar met the telekinetic guy and found that he could see how it worked.
