DAMNIT...I see the previews this week Abby is leaving...Is ER gonna cause me to cry again in the period of one month? I think so...

She is my favorite ER character and actress since the show began...I will miss her.

I know, Easty. ER can make me cry more than any show out there. I never thought I'd be such a mess over Pratt, even though I had grown to love him character. That was some brilliance there. This will be a tough year on my eyes and contacts, I think.

Click to reveal..
Next month Anthony Edwards returns in a flashback for Angela Bassets character. Get the Kleenex ready again. cry

I don't think I will cry because I am a sucker for a happy ending and She is leaving with Luka.

Speaking of upcoming guests isn't Noah Wylie also returning? Do you know when?

He's coming back for several episodes, but no, I don't know when. I'd guess for November or February sweeps.

Damn...I may just need to keep a box of Kleenex by the chair on Thursday Nights now...(I read the spoiler Frannie..I can already tell it will be a tearjerker)

I wonder how they are gonna end it? So far...the biggest tearjerker for me was when they ended Six Feet Under...the last 15 minutes

Powerful. One of the best ER goodbyes in the entire series. There were so many tearjerking moments that I didnt even know how to react. I'm gonna miss Abby.

***sniff sniff***...Yup...I cried...Good bye Abby.

I am down to two shows now...ER and Heroes...I hope I will still want to watch now since I pretty much watched for Abby alone these past couple of years.

Easty, since you loved Six Feet Under, have you tried Alan Ball's new show, True Blood?

It's terrific. Interesting characters, great plot, metaphors, and well acted and written.

I finally watched the 3 episodes from this season this morning...I have today off. What an emotional rollercoaster that was. I had heard Pratt was killed off but wasn't expecting it to happen that way... frown Whatever happened to his younger disabled brother that used to live with him? I will have to search around since I can't remember...

I can't believe that ER's been on for 14 years (it started when LurkieBoy was a baby)...even with all the cast changes it has stayed an awesome show.

Lurkie, that was is foster brother, and if I recall right, he got into some trouble. Some other guys tricked him into a robbery, I think, and he went away. That all happened in Pratt's first season, I believe.

I remember him getting taken away but I didn't remember he was the foster bro...

Here's what wikipedia says about him (obviously since it's wiki it may or may not be correct)!

Quote:
During the series, it was revealed that Pratt had a mentally handicapped stepbrother named Leon living with him, a man who kept Pratt safe and focused on school during his childhood but was left with the IQ of a small child after surviving a gunshot to the head. Due to his handicap, Leon often got into trouble and would disrupt Pratt's professional and personal life, especially when he became involved with a group of thugs who stabbed him in the hindquarters over a confiscated gun, got him thrown in jail overnight, and then made him join them on a robbery that ended with one of the thugs dead and a cop badly injured (though he recovered thanks to good surgical work by Dr. Elizabeth Corday). To help give Pratt a break, Carter suggested his brother move away for a while, leading Pratt to send his stepbrother away to stay with other family members in Baltimore.

I so appreciated finding you all. No one in my household wants to watch the show anymore. It has had me on a crying jag with each new episode. When I was at work I found myself thinking about Pratt and what a fine job Mekhi Phieffer did in that last episode. And Abby... saying goodbye in the way she did. I'm not erasing that from my DVR anytime soon. It was perfect for Haleh to have saved all those nameplates. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, it really feels good to be able to discuss the show with fellow comrades.
