• No Spam or Promotions: If you would like to advertise on Zap2it, please contact our Ad Sales representatives. All spam and promotional posts are immediately reported and deleted from the boards. Users who post spam will be banned permanently from the forums.
• Offsite Links: do not create an account for the sole purpose of directing traffic to another website, "Save Our Show" petition, etc. Only established board participants may link to other sites.
• No "All Caps" in user names, subject headers or posts
• No Personal Attacks: no name-calling or personal insults are permitted. Personal insults attack someone's intellect, character or lifestyle. If someone does not share your opinion on something and says so, that is not personal.
• No Feuds: If you do not get along with someone, do not interact with them. Do not mention them in your posts, do not PM them. Put them on ignore immediately and move on with your life. Also, do not quote personal attacks in your posts even if you are not involved in the feud.
• No Profanity: If a broadcast network would be fined by the FCC for airing a word or image, do not put it in your posts. Do not rely on the censor function to edit your posts.
• Limit your use of reprinted material: If you find content elsewhere on the web that you want to post, introduce it in your own words. Brief quotes and links back to the content are fine. As a rule of thumb, try not to cut-and-paste more than 200 words per post. Our concerns are the obvious copyright issues; and that all posts express the voice of Zap2it users.

While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
